[ The AUDIO somehow gets clicked on first as various kinds of noises can be heard in the background-- people talking about who knows what, all muffled for some reason or another but there's one voice that cuts through clearly. ]

[ To some it might sound familiar to another person's voice, but there's obvious confusion in his tone. What's he's referencing to, well.

There's a few more seconds before the VIDEO clicks on this time, showing nothing but a blur of where the device is at the moment. One second there's the street and then the next is what looks like a group of people before it gets shifted to something else again until it finally settles on a blond boy with blue eyes. Obviously someone doesn't know that it's actually a means of communication instead of what he actually thinks the thing is.

He's frowning but it doesn't last long as he looks off in some other direction, determination set on his face. ]

I'll just bring it back later. Right now I gotta get out of here.

[ A pause as he actually thinks about what he just said while looking around. ]

How did I even get here?

[ Because he's pretty darn sure that he'd been intending to go somewhere else. Not this world... whichever world it is. Well, there are people here so it shouldn't hurt to ask, right? ]

The basics, I guess? Like blizzard and fire and thunder spells. I know wind and light ones too, since they're something I'm a little better at compared to the others.

[Admittedly Shing and Kohaku would probably like him, and wouldn't be opposed to meeting him even with everything Vanitas has done. But Rin doesn't really think to suggest that.

Maybe at a later time it'll come up, just like all the other things they should probably talk about but aren't.

For now, though, friendship is a good option and Rin is actually happy with this.]

Yup! There ain't a whole lot to do here, so I usually just hang out at home and watch movies with my friends. Or I cook for 'em.

[He shrugs a bit.]

Sometimes there's something more to do. Like a while back there was a cruise ship just off the island that everyone got to visit.

[ No worries, Roxas. He's dealt with his darker half a few times already. Shouldn't be too different, right? ]

[ Friendship is something that Ventus values greatly, as could probably be seen by the way he wants to protect everyone and get to know new people that he meets. It is the strength of his power, or at least he likes to believe so. How else is he able to come out of a fight with the thought of wanting to protect those important to him?

And since this is a new world, one that has a lot of others from various places, it's not going to be much different.

So yeah, Ventus is fairly happy to have made a new friend already. ]

That doesn't sound like such a bad thing. Though I'm wondering what else is there to do around here besides from what you and others have told me.

Oh, I know a couple of healing spells like Cure. Those would be really helpful to learn, too.

Just one thing. What is it that you do around here on a regular basis? I've heard that there isn't a whole lot, so I was wondering what it is that you do to pass the time.

[Oddly Rin is nearly the exact opposite, or was when the whole mess of finding out he was a demon started. He's starting to learn how important friendship can be, though, and finally realizing he doesn't have to take on the world all alone.

Uh... well... there's the shops, though if you go to the Nostalgia Nook for anything you're gonna need tokens. You'd need a job to get tokens.

[ He thinks about that for a second, because although he wants to learn, there are other things on his mind too. ]

[ Well, it's not exactly the first time he's heard about the potential of getting one, but he thought it could be to just pass the time. He didn't know that there's a place that wouldn't be free like everything else. Though what kind of qualifications he has to get a job... those are questionable. At least he has a good personality!

But he kind of scratches his cheek at that, not even sure how to go about getting a job. Hopefully Rin can explain that to him too. ]

Wait, what's so special about this Nostalgia Nook that it needs tokens? Everyone has been saying that things are free here?

[ Call him a derp, but he's still new at this, okay. ]

That's true. [ a pause ] Maybe.. we could hang out some time? Get some ice cream, if they have any here.

I have a job as a waitress at a tavern. Although things are free around here, you can still earn Star Fisk Tokens. You can buy stuff from the Nostalgia Nook with 'em. The Nook has stuff from different worlds, maybe even your own.

Other than that, it's up to you. If you can fight you can join the Defense Force and help protect the city and its people. And, um... yeah. Basically, if you've ever wanted to take up a hobby, now's the time.

They've got ice cream.
