There's no art here.

[Equius sounds disgruntled and put upon, and he's scowling crabbily.]

I've lived here for almost a full sweep, and I haven't been able to find a single art gallery or museum here with anything interesting! Isn't there anyone here who knows anything about art? Or has some from their home world?

[Lloyd can't help the grin that spreads across his face when Equius identifies the carving. It always says he did something right when someone can tell what it was he did.]

Yeah, it is! I wasn't sure I got it right. I haven't seen that many horses, and I was just going off of memory. What do you think? Do you like it?

Yes. It's wonderful.

[It could use more muscles, Equius thinks. But then, it's clearly an Earth horse and not an Alternian musclebeast, and it looks very much like an Earth horse.]

There's a stable in Vatheon if you want to see more horses and carve from life.

Really? Where is it?

[Seeing a horse is still a pretty novel thing to him. That would be cool to see even if he wasn't going to carve.]

You can have that one, if you want. I've got plenty of carvings. There's more in my room, too.

[He tries not to clutter up the apartment too much.]

Near the park. I can take you there sometime, if you like.

[Equius never needs an excuse to go visit the horses!]

[His eyes widen behind his shades at Lloyd's offer, and he carefully, reverently tucks the little carving away in his sylladex.]

[Gesturing for Equius to follow, Lloyd heads up a flight of stairs that don't have any railing. His room is at the top, through a door to the left.]

This is my room. Sorry about the mess.

[Definitely a lot more clutter in here - more figurines and carvings, but also different kinds of tools. Bits of wire and metal litter parts of the floor, some of the pieces finished enough that it's clear they're supposed to be jewelry.]

You really think my stuff is that good?

[Equius is examining all of Lloyd's carvings and jewelry pieces very closely, and a piece of olive-green stone catches his eye. He points it out.]

If I paid you, could you make that into a piece of jewelry for a friend of mine?

[Which means yes, he's very impressed by Lloyd's stuff.]

[Lloyd blinks at the offer, surprised.]

Um, sure! What kind of jewelry were you thinking about?

[Someone offering to pay him for something he'd made. He can't remember ever feeling more flattered.]

I'm not sure.

[Equius doesn't know much about jewelry, after all. It practically disintegrates in his hands.]

Do you know Nepeta? It would be for her, since that's her color. She's very active and high-spiritied, so it would probably need to be something STRONG and durable.

Um... I'm not sure. I think her name's familiar...

[Like maybe he talked to her once, but it was a while back.]

What does she look like?

She's very small, with triangular horns that look like a cat's ears. She wears a blue hood and a long green jacket, and her sign is shaped like this.

[He traces the Leo sign in the air.]

She's very beautiful, and deserves to have nice things.

Hmm... Now that I think about it, I think I did talk to her once. Wasn't that when you guys were trying to help your friend? The one that wouldn't get up?

Yes, that's her.

[Should Equius be embarrassed that Lloyd only knows his moirail from that one time they were mercilessly tormenting Eridan? Well, he's not!]

Do you think you could come up with something?

[Lloyd's trying to think back to what he remembers of what Nepeta was like. Come to think of it, it wasn't just her horns that reminded him of cats. The way she acted...]

Does she like things with cats?

She loves cats. They're her favorite animals.

So if I made something with that that had to do with cats, you think she'd like something like that?

Yes. Definitely.

[This is turning out better than Equius had hoped!]

Could you make her something with cats on it?

[Anything with cats. That sounds easy enough.]

Sure. It might take me a little bit, though.

[He really wishes he had access to a forge, but he'll figure something out.]

Do you need it by a certain time?

Oh no, no rush. Whenever you get it finished.

You know, why don't you pick out some of your favorites, and then when the gallery is ready to go, I'll come collect them?

[Or he'll send RoboEquius to get them. He's trying to dance around the fact that if he picks them up now, he'll probably break them.]

[Equius, that's what sacks are for. Though if Lloyd ever meets RoboEquius, that will be an interesting meeting, to say the least.

The teen nods, content with Equius's reasoning.]
