[action/video] - Returning - 010
Lunaday, Ifrit-Decan 13, ND 2018
[There were only three things that Guy really could remember from the last few moments of his life.
Pain. Rage. Fear.
All of them, all in a sudden burst; controlling his actions, forcing his body to act on what his mind had pressed back for years and years. It was the horrifying feeling of having no control and yet being completely aware of your actions, raising his sword above his head to give a blow he thought he'd never have to see with his own eyes. The curse slot was in control, and there was absolutely nothing he could do but watch.
There was a shaking of the ground, a shout. The twang of an arrow, the ruffle of leaves... and then the world went white. He wasn't in Auldrant anymore; not surrounded by a forest of thick trees and mockingly clear skies, but instead blue-stoned buildings, humid air, the bustle of people, the roar of water... the eerily familiar glow of a massive coral out of the corner of his eye. His clothes were also sopping wet.
Too bad that sense of de-ja-vu wasn't quite what was on his mind.
The moment Guy feels his feet against the cobblestone, sword still raised above his head, there is a mental snap; a severing of control and emotions so sudden and harsh, his entire body tenses, limbs locking and vision goes black. He falters, stumbling forward a step. The katana slips from his hand, clanging to the ground as the blonde crumples beside it.
What a disaster. What a nightmare. But at least he was separated from that monster. At least for now. Thank the Score... darkness would do him some good. Here's hoping someone familiar doesn't leave him out on the pavement.
...]
[It isn't until early afternoon that the network is finally accessed. Guy himself doesn't seem to be having any trouble figuring out the SFC - it's coming back to him like he'd only been here yesterday. In fact, he's back in a very familiar apartment, sitting heavily on a couch he remembers sharing for far too long, the balcony of the second floor of a Yutopil apartment just visible in the background.
He looks very tired. But hey, no need to let that stop a smile.]
Hey there, Vatheon. Seems I had a vanishing act for a little while there, hah. Sorry.
I hope you guys haven't had too much trouble lately.
[He pauses, lips pressing together in thought, before bluntly speaking again--]
And hey... whoever went and "borrowed" my energy gauge? I'd really like it back sometime. Please.
[[ooc: ACTION IS FOR LIMITED CR ONLY PLEASE - it has been plotted in advance. :Db Feel free to respond to the video otherwise.]]

If it's really big, it shouldn't be too hard to find! If it's really small...then I might need some help. But it shouldn't be too hard to get extra people to find this um...energy gauge!
[His words trail off as he rolls himself off the couch, tromping his way over to the desk looking for a pen.]
Heh, but I'll take it that's an offer to help?
Ah, hang on--
[The communicator is put aside for a minute as the blonde rummages for some paper, quickly scrawling something on it before holding it up to the camera.]
It's pretty simple - bronze-colored, not much bigger than a lunchbox or a large library book. Does it make enough sense for you?
[Pause] Oh, I have an idea! Since not many people can get into the apartment, maybe one of your friends has it?
If someone nabbed it and then left the city, though? We might be in trouble.
[He's trying not to think about that. 8|]
If someone did grab it left the city, it should still be here! We just need to figure out where they hid it! We'll just think of it as hide and seek but only with that machine!
It's nice of you to be so optimistic.
It's something that takes a lot of practice! Besides, it's much nicer to look on the bright side of things!
[Video] Just FYI - Zelda has it, so Guy will probably send Bianca a handwaved voicemail later o/
[Mmm. Words from a naturally happy girl, or from someone who had to learn the hard way? Guy really can't tell - he doesn't know Bianca well enough. But it's definitely a note to tuck away for later.]
Well, I'm already trying to get in touch with a couple people. But if you want to start searching, could you run by the Welcoming Center and look around? I'd bring it there sometimes the last time I was around. There's a few people on the committee that might have borrowed it, too.
[Video] That works for me!
Hopefully they just borrowed it because if they have stolen it or else they'll have to see a very mad Guy and Bianca! [Huff!]
Glad to know someone's got my back!
Go on, then, go take a look! I'll let you know right away if I hear anything from my end of things. We'll find this machine somehow!
So I'll see you later? I'll let you know if I see it at the committee okay?
[Video] Lost a couple of my older tags noooo (sorry, let's finish this up)
Good luck, Bianca.
[Video] \o
The same goes to you too, Guy!
