Hmm. That is interesting. The first part looks like a code pattern. I can run it against some parameters to see if it matches anything I know, but offhand it doesn't look familiar.

I'm not the computer expert that Roxy is, so I couldn't say.
I'll admit to being more interested in the part about the experiment.
Especially when they describe memory loss and refill cycles. Sounds like they're talking about us.

Maybe. But it does also mention the locals. Anyway, we probably shouldn't jump to conclusions based on corrupted data from conveniently abandoned laboratories. At least not until we have more to piece together.

Yeah, this is just preliminary. I know better than to state a fact without checking for truth in multiple sources. But any information is better than none.

Right. For now it's best for us to stay open to all possibilities. But, for what it's worth, I don't think that those scientists have much to do with what or whoever operates the city.

Religion versus science is a pretty big debate.
In seriousness, though, that doesn't necessarily mean they're being stopped much.

No, it doesn't. But my understanding is that the curses and our being here are all the work of whatever does run the city, properly. Whatever these scientists were doing, I don't think it was directly related to that. At least not in any causal way. Thalassino thinks they're something to be concerned about, but at the moment we just don't know what their purpose is.

As fascinating as finding out how they manage it would be, that's the most important thing to find out.
Especially if it could turn more malicious.
Which means more hacking, at this point.

That seems to be the extent of what we can do, yes. We're bound to turn up something eventually.
