[Sunday morning, and time for Link to rise...]

[About a month later, as it turns out.]

[For a moment, he's disoriented, staring at the ceiling in a vague sort of way. He feels a bit like he's been run through a wringer, exhausted from not having touched the coral in - what, a month and a half? - and it takes him a moment before he can summon the energy to reach for the SFC.]

Um - hi. [Whoops, scratchy voice - let him clear that.]

I guess I was asleep for a really long time, huh... [Bit of movement in the background, Link is trying to push himself up and look for his boots. If he can find Asi somewhere nearby, he can get him to the coral, right?] It's weird, because I slept for a week just before this...

[Oh well. Have a sleepy smile (and, okay, some pretty epic bedhead).] But I'm up now! Um...

What did I miss?

[Later in the day, once he's touched the coral, he can be found here and there - getting used to food again, stretching his legs after a month of no movement. At times, he can be found in the plaza, a blue ocarina in his hands as he plays music.]

[He's just gonna leave out the part where Ghirahim killed a bunch of innocent locals...]

No, he's trying to be good. He's sewing and stuff and he asked me to be his moirail.

[Those poor locals.]

I guess sewing's better than killing people, huh? [Bit of a smile there. He just can't picture it, and that's not just because he's never actually seen Ghirahim.]

Moirail is the one where you look after people, right? [As best he can remember from Sola's descriptions, anyway.]

Yeah, it's like that. I don't mind looking after him but it's supposed to be both ways and, um... I dunno, he doesn't really look after me I don't think...

I'm still weirded out by it, I dunno. But sewing is definitely better!

Uh huh! Maybe Ganondorf should start sewing, too. [He chuckles a bit.] How did Zelda - well, what did she do? How did I help you if I was asleep?

Or baking cookies! [Sola laughs too.]

We went to your house while you were asleep and Zelda put my hand on yours and I felt.. um... more whole. And then she did some magic with the Triforce I think and fixed me.

[It's a little embarrassing but he tells Link anyway.]

[He's now picturing Ganondorf in a frilly apron. Thank you, Sola.]

Oh... well, it's good that you're not going to fade any more! I'd be sad if you did. [He gives him a smile - in the few months he's known Sola, he's definitely and irreversibly become family.]

[Link stretches a little, then winces - he's really not feeling too crash-hot.] I think I need to go to the coral... do you want to meet me there? Then you can tell me more about everything.

[You're very welcome, bro~]

I'd be pretty sad too... Okay! I can meet you there. I'm not too far. See you soon!

[And really he isn't. It's just a skip and a jump to the coral from the park where Sola'd been lazing around. It seemed like no one needed errands today and with Johnny in a coma, he doesn't have a whole lot going on, so Link would find Sola waiting for him with a bright smile and a spring in his step that may not have been there before.]

[It takes Link a little while longer to arrive, and he's just tucking his SFC away as he does. Spotting Sola as he approaches, he gives him an exhausted wave and practically slides off Asi next to the coral.]

[Ahh. That's better.]

[Straightening up, he turns to his brother.] Hi, Sola. [...Wow, something about him just feels different.]

[It's all Sola can do to wait for his brother to touch the coral before flinging his arms around him in sheer joy. His whole body has a sort of humming quality, blood pumping and flowing, air filling lungs like a proper being instead of the semblance of one. He even stands a little straighter, his presence declaring he's there with a place in the world instead of sneaking into it as he'd felt since his creation.]

Hi Link! Are you feeling better?

Whoa! [Suddenly, an armful of Sola! Link laughs a little in sheer amusement, then pauses when he realises what it is that feels different - he feels warm, solid, like he's really, truly, there.]

I feel fine now. You feel warm! [He's grinning, having not quite let go yet.]

I have blood now! And guts!

[He sounds entirely pleased with this.]

Zelda fixed me so I'm real like everyone else!

[Link can't help but laugh a little at Sola's enthusiasm over the miracles of having a digestive system.] That's great!

[And is that a heartbeat he can feel? Drawing away, he gives Sola a wide smile.] What does it feel like, having all that stuff now?

Umm, well I kind of feel like my body's always humming and it makes weird noises sometimes when it's really quiet, like my heart beat but also my stomach gurgles and stuff! It's kind of neat! I even sneezed yesterday!

[He's very very excited, okay? Sneezing is important!]

Stomachs can make really weird sounds, huh? And sneezing can be really weird - don't bite your tongue, okay?

[He did that in the Ice Caverns ;_; ]

Why would you bite your tongue? You need that to eat stuff.

[Link you make no sense.]

It was an accident! I had my tongue a bit out - [He sticks his tongue out a little, like he would when he was concentrating -] and then I sneezed and it made me bite down. It hurt.

Oh. Well I'll make sure not to stick my tongue out when I'm sneezing then. Sneezing's neat though! Stuff came out my nose and then I could breathe better!

[If anyone needed evidence he's still young, there it is; amused by boogers.]

[Oh no, Sola, does he have to be the responsible big brother?]

[...Nah. They're still kind of amusing to him, too.]

It can get things messy, though! You shouldn't sneeze when you're eating, or food comes out, too. [Messily. Very messily.]

[Sola's eyes get big at that.]

Seriously? It sounds like it'd hurt, but maybe if it was small food, like berries... Or milk! Can you make milk come out your nose?

[Important questions that must be answered!]

[Link laughs a little at that.] Well, I meant it comes out of your mouth - but I bet milk could come out of your nose! It might feel cold, though.

I wonder what that feels like. We should go get some milk and find out!

[Clearly the best plan!]

How would you make yourself sneeze, though? You might just spit it out by accident, instead.

[There's some quite serious thought that happens for a moment before Sola responds.]

You can totally sprinkle dust on my nose! That's why I sneezed before, 'cause dust.

Some of the temples were like that! Especially the Forest Temple. The Spirit Temple mostly just had a lot of sand.

[And we're not talking about the lava, the water, or the nightmare fuel.]
