I should apologise to those who know me; I have not been around for two weeks thanks to another bout of the cursed sleep. Only a few months ago it affected me, so to have it happen again so soon is rather... frustrating.
[Despite his words, Mitsuhide sounds rather calm, overall. He has spent so long in Vatheon now that the cursed sleep does not bother him quite as much as it once did. There are far worse things, after all.]
I awoke two days ago, however, and am now mostly recovered.
[Awoke just in time to be cursed, though he is not going to bring that up willingly. It's the reason he didn't post to the network earlier.]
There is no need for any concern, I assure you, though I will likely have to give this 'masquerade ball' a miss.
[A pause, and then he adds:]
There are plenty of pokemon trainers here in Vatheon now, and I wish to ask for your advice on something. How does one reassure a jealous pokemon? I have tried my best to assure Miyuki that my Lord Motochika is no threat to her, but it does not seem to be working very well...

video;
I'm glad to see you're awake again! Motochika told me what happened.
video;
[He regards her fondly.]
That smile suits you very well. You are feeling better?
video;
He came back!
video;
[Mitsuhide smiles himself. What Shing did was... well. It was the wrong move, in Mitsuhide's eyes, but the young man has come back and Kohaku is smiling again. So things must have been repaired, at least to some degree.]
I am pleased for the both of you.
video;
I'm so happy he's back ... not everything is back to normal just yet, but ... he won't be leaving again. And as long as he and I are together, we can work on whatever we need to.
video;
I am certain you will overcome all obstacles, in time. Your bond is clearly strong enough to ensure that will be the case.
video;
[ she tilts her head at him. ]
Sorry, I made this all about me, didn't I ...? Did waking up go well?
video;
[There is no force in any universe that could stop Mitsuhide from flushing, in response to that question. Having such pale skin is certainly not an advantage when it comes to hiding one's embarassment.]
It went fine. There were no real problems.
video;
I'm glad. Sometimes it can be pretty rough, waking up from something like that ... or so I've heard.
video;
[That was one thing the curse seemed to negate, actually. He was so overflowing with energy that any ill effects from his long sleep were either destroyed entirely or made unnoticeable.]
I have had my limbs ache for days. After laying still for so long, one would usually get rather stiff.
video;
[ of course! she wants big bro to be happy. ]
video;
And I am glad you are doing well too, my dear.

[Mitsuhide sounds fondly amused as he says that; every time he has been affected by the cursed sleep and Motochika has not, the other man has always gotten out his nail polish.]
She is a Lapras; an elegant creature of the sea. I fear giving her something would not work; she started to become jealous after a previous bout of sleep of over a week, and I believe she may think that Lord Motochika is responsible for 'keeping me away.' He is the one she sees me with most, after all.
[voice]
While drawing would be mustaches, shapes and possibly a unibrow.]
I haven't seen one yet. Maybe she'll like a beach ball to play with?
[voice]
[And every nail in a different colour. Mitsuhide was not a fan of that look; it had rather annoyed him, at the time.]
[A thoughtful hum.]
It may serve as a distraction for her, at least.

[That gratitude is audible in the samurai's voice.]
Have there been any problems?

I am very pleased with your progress, then.

I would be frustrated with myself if I were not.

Jealousy can be quite a tough situation. A pity reassurance has not worked. I do wonder, however, if pokemon are similar to people, and that their jealousy and fears may be assuaged with words and comfort.

[A pause, and then a deep sigh.]
She is young, and does not fully understand such words yet. Miyuki is like a child who fears her parent will be snatched away.
