[ The video starts with Rand sitting with a flute of some sort, sitting in the first floor of that big old inn they built toward the edge of the main bubble. He's playing the melody of something, although...

He has one hand folded behind his back. Yeah. Those keys appear to be moving on their own. Have fun with the obvious use of magic. After the end of that, he rests it across his knee. ]

So I have a slight problem with playing anything else. [ A casual wave of his left stump, before placing it on his lap again. ]

So is there anything that only needs one hand? I remember someone asking if there was regeneration magics, and I'm not going to look for that, but a replacement would be interesting. I think Lews may know how to draw up something for that, but I'm willing to look into other worlds ideas for it too.

[ Never mind that there is no Lews in the resident listing, at all. He thinks that talking about Lews as someone else may make it seem less awkward that he remembers things from 3000 years ago. ]

Do you need a prosthetic or are you looking to get it healed?

At least with the magic I'm familiar with, madness is curable, but regrowing limbs is a bit beyond. If you know a way for the second, that would be welcome, but the first seems more likely to me.

It does to me too. If I had the technology to make nanogenes, then I could heal it for you. As it is, though, that sort of tech would take months to put together and it'll have a slim chance of working.

I'd be willing to try, though, if you're interested.

If you don't mind a mechanical replacement, I might be able to give you-- a hand, as it were.

I have no problem with mechanics. A friend will likely be more comfortable with that than something magic based.

Dirk makes quality machinery.

And Equius there is familiar with connecting them to living beings. I can guarantee you that there would be no magic involved, with either of us.

I can show you some of the things I've made and prepare a design, unless you're just considering your options right now.

Mostly considering, but I would be interested in seeing what you have maid. As of yet, seems to be only a handful of options.

I personally have no problems with magic being involved, but I think my friend will thank you.

You make mechanical people? [ that's somewhat fascinating. The closest Rand knew of were the Nym, but those were made of plants. ]

Robots? Hell yeah. It's a hobby.

It appears you have already gotten an offer for mechanical replacements, but in case any of those fall through, I am always available. I can even show you some designs, if you wish, and have already provided a prosthetic for one other resident of the city.

Designs would be most interesting. If not for anything else, than to see how other worlds do designs for projects such as this.

[After getting his things, which doesn't take long, Darkleer heads towards the park. One of the picnic tables would be best, but he can never quite fit due to his size. So, instead, he sits beneath a nearby tree, legs crossed and hands held loosely together on his ankles.]

There was a brief moment where he reached for saidin, thinking a trolloc had gotten into the bubble, before realizing... One, this person wasn't running either for him in fear-fueled rage, or away in fear, and two, that they didn't have the face of an animal, but something a lot more human than an Ogier.

Thus time for curiosity to lead him right for once? ]

[Highbloods such as himself are used to strife, and used to recognizing it. So when he sees the individual tense, he does as well although he does not summon his bow just yet. Instead, he waits with his eyes narrowed behind his glasses.]

[ Oops, that voice he'd been talking to rather recently. This is a sheepish smile. ]

Then I was bothered too much by beings in my world, and forgot some manners over the starfish. Rand al'Thor.

[Relaxing, he gives a slight nod to him.]

Darkleer. Would you like to sit down, then?

[Oh, that magic is neat. Link stares for a bit, rather impressed at the whole thing.]

[And whoops. Missing hand.]

[Okay, instruments with one hand. Ocarina is out, lyre is out, most flutes are out... what's left?]

Maybe you can do some sort of drum or bells. I don't think you need two hands for that. Or some of the Kokiri made a thing with strings!

"the Kokiri made string things"? That is all new to me. Harps are the strings I know.

Although, it seems like "One handed" may not be a problem for too long. Mostly the problems with flutes and the way I just played is that the keys have holes, and its harder to cover those with the weave I was using.

Well, it's sort of like a lyre, and I think they're like harps. Only you hold it in your lap and pluck the strings with one hand.

[Hey, in the forest, you make your own entertainment. And that means primative musical instruments.]

Ahhh, I should see if I can find something like that then.

There might be things in the Nostalgia Nook, if they're not in the other shops! The different worlds - they could have different things.

Ahhhh. Dance songs, I think may be a way to describe them. [ Thinking... ]

Dance songs? [Link considers for a moment - he hasn't exactly visited any taverns, but...] Maybe it's like the music the Kokiri played. That was really energetic sometimes.

Energetic was a want sometimes, and sorrowful others. Its hard to tell, sometimes, but occasionally people would request songs. I started to find out that one tune could have a dozen different lyrics and names for it, not just the one I knew.

Why would people want a song that sounds sorrowful? [Isn't being sad a bad thing? He lets out a thoughtful hum.] It'd be funny if you knew the tunes for anything I know.
