[Rin looks surprisingly distant and thoughtful today. He's lacking his two usual modes - growling and pissed off or cheerful and derpy. He's just sort of... there.

As much as he wanted to believe it wasn't going to bother him, what Maka revealed is getting to him. And it's not even necessarily the relation to the other two that's bothering him. It's more the other questions he has on his mind.

But for the public post, he has a purpose aside from that.

Hey uh... if anyone wants any free lunches already made and you don't wanna bother with the lines at the restaurants today, I grabbed a buncha leftovers from the ball we had frozen and made some. I got way more than even everyone in the Villa is gonna eat, so I figured I'd just give 'em away.

[He holds one up. It's got a rather interesting assortment, not strictly Japanese since there was a pretty good assortment of cultures represented in the food at the masquerade. But whatever, they still look damn good. And Rin has enough bento boxes behind him on the counter to feed about twenty people. How the hell does he do that?

[Rin holds up a picture Amaimon.]

And he's harassin' you or whatever, just send him my away, okay? I'll deal with him.

[He pauses, then continues with with quite a bit of reluctance in his voice, with a tone of some one who is struggling to accept something but knows that he has to sooner or later.]

Just... just tell 'im "little brother" is lookin' for him.

That's it.

[He goes to turn off the SFC, but stops and frowns, switching the filter one last time.]

Pfffft--no really, I'll be okay. I've been in a few strifes before, but I don't have to fight with him if that would bother you.

Yeah uh... it ain't about you, okay? The way I've figured it, his mind his two ways of workin' - "I'm bored, let me knock you around for fun" or "I'm hungry, feed me." And if you get in the way of that or piss him off...

[Rin just puts his hands up and shrugs.]

You saw me out there on the island, right? You know I ain't a pushover. Amaimon gives me a run for my money on a good day. I'm pretty damn sure I'm the only one in this damn city that can handle the beatings he dishes out.

[He goes quiet, admitting softly.]

[...No, that's an eyeroll reaction there. Thirteen year old girl, it's her.]

Oh my god, I never said it was about me, tone down the hero complex thing would you?! I am saying, I'm A GOD. Literally, A GOD. And I'm not the only one, I'm certain! Yes! It may be totally shocking buuuuut--you are not the only one that's not a pushover around here! And if he fucking comes around bugging ANYBODY and I see him doing it, I'm kicking his goddamned ass. Do you honestly think, if he REALLY wants to "play" with someone, he would just sit and wait while that someone tells him to nicely go your way? That's total bullshit! I tried the best I could to protect my friends from an enemy that had a connection to me, too, and you know what he did? He USED me to kill one my best friends! HE MADE ME SHOOT HIM. He was much stronger, much faster, had abilities that even NOW I am not certain I can match.

[There was an undertone of what sounds like a dog growling as she spoke, now it's more prominent than ever as she glares.]

Putting out a warning is all well and good, but you cannot tell someone that they cannot do anything and only you can. That is making the situation about you rather than focusing on protecting others.

[Wait what the fuck just happened.

Oh. Right. The 'quit being a hero' speech. He's gotten this one before. Never ceases to get him to double take though because half the time he's not even aware he's doing it until some one calls him out on it.

The God thing was a bit surprising, though, and he just winds up staring for a few seconds after she's done.]

[Amazingly, he's not pissed, and he doesn't yell back. All that eventually comes out is a bit of a sheepish mutter.]

He's a demon, yehknow. It ain't gonna be easy, if you go toe to toe with him... even if you are a god...

Then, in that case, we would just have to see.

[Inb4 a jar containing a bitty Amaimon is left on Rin's doorstep.]

Oh, I was not aware that you are a demon. Maybe I should have been clued in by the tail. [Except she has dog ears, so she honestly can't judge.]

[Which makes fighting him that much more difficult.]

Then that makes him your half brother as well. Do you have any other siblings besides him?

[Because honestly talking about brothers is making her miss ecto-twin right now.]

Yeah... Mephisto is his older brother so I guess that makes him mine, too. And I got a twin, Yukio.

I have a twin, too! His name is John, I guess we look alike except--well--being a boy and a girl, and his eyes are blue. But we were not exactly born in a conventional sense, so we would not look like your typical set of twins.

[Y'know, technically being fraternal twins yet being exact clones of each other.]

Huh... cool, I'm not the only twin here.

Yukio doesn't look like me either. Or... act like me. ... we're pretty damn different.

I'd introduce you but I think he's at work right now.

John and I don't necessarily act the same, either. We get along, but...John can be a real douchebag about things sometimes, and he goes off on these weird rambles that you can't stop once he's going. He takes them reeeeeally seriously.

[A pause before her ears droop slightly.]

I'd like you to meet John, too, but he isn't here.

Heh. Sounds a lot like Yukio. He's all serious and studies hard and is all--

[He pauses to push up non existent glasses and get in to a tone matching Yukio's]

"Nii-san! You need to pay more attention in class! Nii-san! Be more responsible!"

[His hand drops and he lets out a laugh, but after a second his tone changes to something softer, and maybe a little bit proud.]

But he's still the best little brother I could ask for, yehknow? He's smart and awesome and a great doctor already. I'm really glad he's here.

[Even if he is scared about what's going to happen to Yukio, that much is true.]

But hey! Yukio took forever to show up, so maybe John will show up some day, too!

Hee-hee! Oh no, he's not serious business all the time! Just about things like shitty movies and such. He would probably prank your brother if he saw him being serious-face, he's a big old prankster too.

[~~The laugh overed quickly~~ She stops her giggling and sighs quietly, though she doesn't look forlorn anymore, there's a bit of fondness there.]

Maybe. All of us kids did finally meet each other after chatting online for years. Me, him, Dave and Rose...and even when we were all separated by different worlds or dying or ridiculously long and stupid quests, we all somehow managed to find our way back to each other.

...And even if John's a pain sometimes, he's the only twin brother I will ever have.

[The part about pranking gets a bit of a smile from Rin, but it doesn't last long.]

That's... how I feel about Yukio. Even if I am related to the damn broccoli head and the stupid clown, Yukio is the only twin brother I'm ever gonna have...

Even if Vatheon is kinda shitty sometimes, I'm glad he's here...

Then, I will hope John gets here soon, too! He is god tier like I am, but I am still his big sister. We need to stick together!

Eheh... yeah. I'm sure he'll show up eventually! And then we can all hang out and you and I can big the crap outta our little brothers!

But whatever that means I am sure we can big sibling the shit out of them, yes.

[He scratches his head, grumbling]

It's been a long week... I swear my brain never woke up with the rest'a me.

It's okay! [She can't use a smiley since this isn't a text conversation, but she can smile very broadly and draw a smiley face in the air with odd green space magic trails.] Sometimes I get migraines reeeeeally bad and I don't want to talk to anyone at all, and it's hard to make those go away.
