[Rin looks surprisingly distant and thoughtful today. He's lacking his two usual modes - growling and pissed off or cheerful and derpy. He's just sort of... there.

As much as he wanted to believe it wasn't going to bother him, what Maka revealed is getting to him. And it's not even necessarily the relation to the other two that's bothering him. It's more the other questions he has on his mind.

But for the public post, he has a purpose aside from that.

Oh and he totally has a Kuro sleeping on his head]

Hey uh... if anyone wants any free lunches already made and you don't wanna bother with the lines at the restaurants today, I grabbed a buncha leftovers from the ball we had frozen and made some. I got way more than even everyone in the Villa is gonna eat, so I figured I'd just give 'em away.

[He holds one up. It's got a rather interesting assortment, not strictly Japanese since there was a pretty good assortment of cultures represented in the food at the masquerade. But whatever, they still look damn good. And Rin has enough bento boxes behind him on the counter to feed about twenty people. How the hell does he do that?

[Rin holds up a picture Amaimon.]

And he's harassin' you or whatever, just send him my away, okay? I'll deal with him.

[He pauses, then continues with with quite a bit of reluctance in his voice, with a tone of some one who is struggling to accept something but knows that he has to sooner or later.]

Just... just tell 'im "little brother" is lookin' for him.

That's it.

[He goes to turn off the SFC, but stops and frowns, switching the filter one last time.]

That's the word. He... did this to me. Amongst other things. [Asato closes his eyes, trying not to remember the feeling of the scalpel cutting through his skin and flesh.]

[Asato slightly shivers and hugs himself. He is not cold though.]

[He motions to the door, picking up the rest of the boxes and giving a whistle. Aurelio sits up, looking at Rin lazily. He almost appears to want to fall back asleep, but he rolls over and pads in to the house.]

[ACTION] Seriously, I love your icons.

Thank you, Rin-kun.

[He helps with the boxes and then turns towards the lazy animals.] Cinnamon, come here !

[The puppy immediatly rushes to his master, barking happily. Sorry Aurelio.]

[ACTION] We affectionately dub him "Rubberface Okumura" for a reason

[Aurelio is less than pleased at the noise. He bounces back and swats at Cinnamon (though not with claws out) before tearing in to the house and running to his favorite high windowsil.]

Oops.. guess that was a bit much for him.

[ACTION] This is greatly deserved.

[Cinnamon backs away a little, whining a bit, and Asato takes him in his arms. He is not used to such feline demonstrations]

Nah, it's cool. He's usually pretty chill but he'll let some one know if he's not happy.

[Rin takes Kuro off his head and sets him on a foot rest in the living room. The Nekomata barely even wakes up at it.

After that he goes to the window and picks up the kitten carefully. There's a slight protesting noise, but as soon as he's in Rin's arms Aurelio curls up and starts purring.]

See? He's fine.

Hello Aurelio ! You're a cute kitty, do you know that ?

[Asato reaches to scratch the kitten's ears and smiles. If only dogs could purr too.]

[Aurelio is doing enough purring now for two pets. He rolls over on his back and latches on to Asato's finger with his paws, chewing on it with his little kitty teeth.]

Not quite outta the "chew on everything" stage yet. It doesn't really hurt though.

[Asato chuckles and lets the kitten do. More horrible things than that were done to him.]

He's just adorable.

First pet I've ever had, actually... I mean there's Kuro but a familiar isn't really the same thing.

Familiar ? What do you mean ?

Oh. He's a demon, too.

Did'ya see his two tails? That happens when a demon cat gets old enough. Their tails split. He's somethin' like... over a hundred, I think? My dad had him before I did.

Oh, I see... [To be honest, he didn't notice. Eheh...]

Does your demonic side come from your father ?

[Well he was kind of sleeping on Rin's head until a little bit ago.

And speaking of felines, Aurelio wiggles out of Rin's arms and jumps down, wandering in to the kitchen. Food time! =D]

... yeah.

Cinnamon follows Aurelio. Will there be something to eat for him too ?]

My... father too... [More like, the thing that slept with his mother.]

[Rin only has cat food out (since Mephy never wants to eat regular dog food like a normal mutt when he's changed) so once he seems Cinnamon trailing along he goes and follows, motioning with a hand for Asato to come with him.

There's a line of stools against the bar side of the kitchen counter, and a few things left over from making the bento boxes on it. He picks up a piece of chicken and puts it on a plate, setting it down for the puppy.]

Hope that's okay. Figure it doesn't hurt to spoil 'em every now and then.

[He grins, pulling a stool around to sit on the other side.]

So... you get a lotta crap for it? Bein' half, I mean.

[Cinnamon happily jumps around Rin before sniffing the chicken piece and starting to eat it. He secretly wishes that his master will visit this place often.]

Ah, that's right ! Tatsumi makes sure that I don't spoil him too much so Cinnamon stays healthy.

[He smiles at the puppy and then goes to sit face to Rin.]

I was hated and rejected by my family and people feared me because of these. [He points to his eyes, their amethyst colour lightly shining in the light.] Children were especially cruel.
