[ So. It's that time again, Vatheon. The new arrivals are coming.
This one is a particularly disgruntled young man, hair a soaking wet mess around his face, even covering his eyes. He lifts a hand to push the strands back against his head and he gives the SFC a look, flipping it around a couple times before he lets it settle back on his face again. ]
This is Suguro Ryuuji, Exwire, Tokyo Division, reporting--
[ But he stops and frowns, grumbling. ]
--Screw it. If there's anyone here from home, let me know you're alright.
[ BLIP goes the screen. He's going to be chilling in the plaza. ]

[ Dismissive hand gesture as he leans back in his seat. The SFC's on his desk, propped up against a collection of undersea themed nicknacks. ]
Now, I suppose you've got your questions. But the basics stand as they are. I'm sure there's a stand nearby with both towels and a handy little pamphlet to explain where we are.

And he starts ticking things off with his fingers. ]
We're underwater in a city known as Vatheon. Most things are free here, including housing. Special items require tokens, which can be obtained with jobs. The coral is like their god and can renew our energy. Only thing I haven't heard is why this is happening but I suppose we don't actually know.
[ Pause. ]

Very good, very good indeed. I can see Rin has filled you in rather well, at least I assume it was Rin.
[ He has his doubts but hey. ]
As for the why, if someone who has been here as long as Okumura-kun has isn't able to answer that question then I'm afraid we're all at a loss. The locals as well as those who seem to be in charge of this rather elaborate operation don't seem quite too open to talking. They'd rather keep us in the dark.
[ Tapping finger on the desk along to the rhythm of one of those perpetual motion doohickeys he's got. Idea. ♥ ]
