I...I need help.

[ A man can be seen kneeling in the plaza, his clothes rumpled as though he had just been running. His expression is both pained and saddened, but he keeps his voice calm.

He needs to say this.]

Some of you may recognize me as Doctor Riffael Raffit. I am Riff Raffit, but...the man known as Riffael is the one who has been terrorizing people for a month.

I am sorry I could not do anything sooner...if I had-

[All the people who had been hurt by his hands..shared hands, but his nonetheless.]

I know what I am saying might not make sense in full but if it helps, if it is easier: I am the one you've been looking for.

[He pauses, eyes closing a moment.]

I have control right now, I won't be moving from this place. I beg of you, someone, come stop him.

[ He's intrigued, yes... heard about the murders, was even accused of them too but he's not supposed to know that. He's curious, even more so when one of his fellow doctors admits to schizophrenia. ]

[Ky doesn't bother to answer before running to the plaza, to as fast as he can. He's not sure he believes that the man who's been doing all this would turn himself in, but if there's any chance...

Ky doesn't trust that Riff or Riffael, if there's supposed to be a difference there, will stay for long, or that this isn't a trap, but he still has an obligation to be there, an obligation to stop him.

Which is why he shows up at the plaza, one arm bracing the other from when he ran, but he catches his breath quickly.]

Even without my sword I do have magic and can hurt you. Don't try anything.

[Ordinarily, Tech might find all of this fascinating, but this case has provided him with little more than a prolonged, ascending headache. The mild curiosity that he can muster should be taken as a service, at this point.]

[There was a slight mumble coming from Bianca before she responded. Should she even bother? This was the man who killed her, she shouldn't be saying anything to him at all.

[Her voice is male, but angry. She is not happy by any means. She is angered by the fact that this man caused hell for so many.]

You say that this "other side" of you has been the one causing pain to those who are victims. What makes you think that we should believe you? Even if you have a case of multiple personality disorder, it will have to be tested.

I need...[What exactly?]

He needs to be stopped. Someone has to lock me up.

[Riff ran a hand through his hair, still trying to keep calm in the face of everything.]

[The voice and the name attached to the message ring bells for him and, although he only has vague, blurry, memories of what had happened, he knew this was one of Riffael's victims.]

I'm so sorry, Miss Bianca. I know it does not make anything better, nor do I expect or deserve your forgiveness...but I am truly sorry.

[And there goes even more of his patience.]

[He kept his voice calm and spoke with sincerity, all he wanted was to stop hurting people.]

I do not expect forgiveness or leniency just because Riffael and I are not the same, all I desire is for it to stop and to be stopped.

You do not need to believe me to stop me, that part hardly matters.

I apologize. I don't know if you mean the murders, Riffael, or myself.

Assuming you meant the latter two, Riffael and I share a body, but we are separate personalities. I did not know of him until recently due to events preceding my arrival here.

I..am sorry to say I did not have the strength to override his control until now.

[Or else he might have been able to save some people.]

[Tech remains unamused, and his eyes narrow.]

Is that all you have to say? What else can you tell me about the nature of this "split personality?"

[Riff didn't move, as promised, but he did give the man a considering look. The memories were fuzzy and barely coherent as they weren't, strictly, his own, but he could remember this man's face. He knew why Ky's arm was hurt.]

Please, if you have come to detain me, I would ask that you do it quickly, I do not want to loose control to him and have this start again.

All I can say is from a medical perspective. It was caused in youth and, for most of our lives, he has been the dominant personality meaning he had control.

However, the last five years, I have been in control due to telepathic influences but those same telepathic influences had caused him to take over once more.

The only reason I was able to overcome him is because I do not want any more people to come to harm.

How charitable. Now tell me, where exactly does "telepathy" factor in? I'm unfamiliar with the intersections of psychic phenomena and dissociative identity disorder.

[Now she wondered if she could summon Yamato-Takeru to help.]

What is it you need done?

[Boredom in recovery was Rinoa's bane right now. Now that her head was clear and the pain was held back by painkillers, she decided to scan over the network and see what she missed.

She drops the communicator in shock when she sees Riff's face. His face. The one burned into her mind, leering down at her.

Unbeknownst to her, the reply mechanism is hit. She simply stares for a long moment, her eyes wide in shock. Unable to say anything, she quickly shuts off her SFC, and tries to fight back the well of fear rising in her.]

A woman with such a power was able to seal away Riffael. She made it so that he had no control over anything and I was able to live as I pleased for those five years. A couple months before my arrival here, she switched our places because she had need of him.

However, he is dangerous and she had hoped to release me enough to make him more easy to control but he killed her after she broke the seal. I've spent the time since then trying to gain enough strength to overthrow him.

[A full removal of Riffael would be the best, but he did know a telepath beyond Justice..]

I need someone to imprison me. It is the only way to make sure he can't hurt anyone else.

You are willing to turn yourself in to the proper authorities in order to possibly get this other side under control?

[She is not sure that she would be the one to be able to help. Her police and detective side is celebrating that this man wants to turn himself in. However the side of her that keeps with humanity isn't sure what to say in how to help.]

This is still strange. Is is even accurate to call your two...selves simply "personalities?" Or is it more the case that you are multiple conscious entities sharing the same actualized, physical body?

[He saw her face and instantly recognized her. While the others the memories were more fuzy and disjointed, Rinoa he remembered almost everything for.

He had been so close, if he had been just a little stronger, he could have helped her more than he'd tried to. As it was, he wasn't entirely certain sabotaging the hallucinogen was helping. Perhaps it was a greater disservice to allow her to remember than not.

He knows there is a likelihood she does not want to speak to him or hear what he has to say, but he will still attempt.

At the very least, she doesn't need to look at him.]

Miss Rinoa. I am so sorry for what was done to you. I...I tried to help you, but I fear I only did more damage than good, and it certainly doesn't outweigh what he did to you.

I do not ask for your forgiveness, merely that you know I wish I could have done more.

'Personalities' is the only way the medical world of my time can understand it and, quite simply, I am a man of my time, I am afraid I do not fully understand it myself; not as much as I would like.

Perhaps what you suggest is more accurate, but I have no way nor any knowledge of a way to prove or disprove it.

Rin is calling bullshit on it the second he hears it. And he is pissed. Angry enough, even, to not keep himself fully in check. He doesn't care to hide the flames that crop up by the time he's responding, two small "horns" of the blue fire right atop his head.

Teeth bared, his voice comes out nearly a snarl when he speaks.]
