This Must Be a Thing Now!
This is the second time I've been turned into a human this season. I wonder if this is supposed to be a regular thing for me, now... it's still quite a strange thing.
Well, I... suppose I could help anyone who's been turned into a mouse. It's happened a few times before, but I'm sure someone different has become a mouse this time.

[The redhead pops himself up from he table to tend to the soup on the stove, stirring and adding a few more vegetables and spices, stalling in order to get himself together.
There is no way in hell he's going to ruin Brisby with his issues. No way.]

[Action]
Almost done~♪
[Action]
Ah... alright.
[Action]
How's that?
[Action]
It's lovely, thank you. You really didn't have to go this far for me...
[Action]
[By the look on her face he's not out of the woods yet as far as her concern but maybe if he just flatters his way out of it...]
[Action]
Thank you, again. Though I'll have to find a way to repay you...

[She'll take a sip of the soup, at least.
Wow, that does taste exactly like what she had in the restaurant!]
Oh! That's wonderful.
[Action]
[He's just not going to mention that it took him a really long time thanks to his sense of taste being dulled by his crystal.]
[Action]
[Flirting? Naaaawwwww]
[Action]
You're very welcome, Brisby-hunny~ And y'know, a chef's like an artist; only as good as his inspiration.
[He winks at her to get across that she, of course, is said inspiration.
Just because he doesn't think of her like that doesn't stop him from sounding flirtatious. But that's just Zelos.]
[Action]
Well, I'm flattered to be an inspiration, I truly am.
[Action]
So what have you been up to besides transforming into pretty humans, hm?
[Action]
O-oh, well... I... n-not an awful lot, I don't do very much. I'm v-very boring...
[Action]
You alright? Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you.
[He chuckles a little sheepishly, resting a hand gently on her shoulder to make sure she's steady after that bout of coughing.]
I doubt very much you're boring you, Brisby~
[Action]
It's quite alright... it's just that I've always been so plain, I hadn't thought myself anything special.
[Her only special privilege before was that she was the widowed Brisby - it was her husband who was special, not her.]
...Not that I've ever been upset with such a thing! I just hadn't thought of myself as anything but ordinary.

[He smiles, a bit of a nostalgic smile. She reminds him of his mother on good ways, when the sun would come out and they'd walk in the garden and she's thank him for flowers, sometimes telling him their meanings. He'd learned to read the flowers that way, talk with them, send messages. It's one of the few things she'd taught him before she'd died, and only on those good days.
With that same smile, Zelos returns to his soup, not wanting to share that private part of what Brisby means to him.]
