Yes. The curses vary. Some are relatively harmless or are considered enjoyable by most residents. Those consist of rumors coming true. Other curses can affect the ways people act. Some cause transformations- one caused foreigners to switch bodies. Another caused transformation into animals. A recent curse caused the foreigners to see their nightmares around them. The curses are unpredictable, but their effects only last a week.

It may be possible to compile a list of the curses and dates by looking back through the SFC's records. There is a theme of foreigners commenting on the curses when they begin. However, it is not always possible to know everyone who is affected, because of the varied responses of individuals to the curses. Some will comment on them. The majority of arrivals happen at the end of the month, and those arrivals are all confined to the plaza. The majority of those appearing at this time do not remember Vatheon, if they have been here before, but their are acceptions.

At other times, residents disappear for a shorter period of time, experience something in their own world, and return remembering Vatheon. These are not confined to the end of the month.

Arrivals often know others who appear, in my experience, but that is not always the case.
