[After a little jostling of the frame--she's kind of fidgeting with it until she thinks it's at a good spot--Sheena sits up, straight-backed in front of it with a little wave. She's awkward, but putting her best face forward nevertheless.]

Um. Hi, Vatheon! I wanted to ask, since it's been on my mind a couple times since I got here. Do you guys have any spirits in your worlds? Like, that embody the elements and stuff? Back where I'm from, we have Summon Spirits--eight primary for the main elements, two that are way older, a third for the Kharlan Tree that supplies the world with mana, and [She falters just the tiniest bit, but it's over in less than a second.] a newer one that sees the hearts of people. Anyone have something similar? Or even something different! I guess you could also say this is also about how magic works in your worlds, if you don't have spirits like we do.

[Sheena tilts her head at the screen, completely unaware of the filter that's been put over their conversation.]

When did you get here?

[Nothing really all that accusatory going on, here. Honestly, she's just curious. She's seen everything, and while she's not really all that sure what to make of him, she understands the gist of why he did what he did--or, it's that way from when she's from. Does she necessarily like him? No. But she's not really planning on starting anything, much like she's not planning on starting anything with Mithos.]

[That answers that question. To be fair, he hadn't expected Zelos to bring the matter up, but Lloyd could've mentioned it to his friends in passing.]

Two months ago, while you were... sleeping.

Ah.

[Well, that might explain it. There's been a lot of stuff that's happened in between now and then.]

So what's the last thing you remember before coming to Vatheon?

[Maybe he should be the one asking that, but it occurs to her that finding the answer to that is pretty important.]

The attempt to separate the two worlds by breaking the Mana Links had failed, and the out-of-control Great Seed had been subdued again with the aid of the Mana Cannon.

[And then some... other things happened involving Lloyd and Kratos, but he doesn't like to talk about that.]

Though, if Mithos asks, I don't know anything about you or the Renegades.

[She props her chin on a hand, some surface close enough to brace against.]

But you're from a little bit back in history, then. It's been about a year since all that, for me.

A year? Then, you've witnessed the reunification of the worlds as well? [And here he'd thought it was only Zelos.]

Yep. Now it's just making sure people cooperate enough on the political front to keep things together.

That's bound to be troublesome. [He's had enough dealings with Tethe'alla in recent years to know how they feel about 'the savages from the declining world'.]

You're telling me.

[Let's not get into some of the things that've happened since then...]

So, how long have you been here?

[It bothers him that he's 'late to the party', so to speak. Everyone else has so much more experience with Vatheon and the things that go on here.]

[She leans back a bit.]

According to the calendar here, I got here in September, I think?

[Because that... incident with Lloyd was before the masquerade, and the masquerade was October...?]

At least I think that's right.

Hmm. [So all in all, Yuan's arrival wasn't too long after hers. Interesting. He's silent for a few seconds, before moving on to the next question.]

What's this about a new spirit that can see the hearts of people?

Verius.

[That smile she keeps pulling on when others ask about him falls right back in place.]

After Corrine died, he sort of became Verius. But Verius is completely separate from Corrine, though I can't really say how. I'm not sure Verius knows, either.

[Yuan's actually kind of intrigued by this story.]

So the artificial spirit evolved- No, it was reborn as a greater spirit.

Yep. You probably won't remember this if you get out of here, but the temple outside of Iselia? That's where he is.

Martel temple... I see.

[That's an interesting place for the spirit to choose. Surely there's some sort of reason for it.]
