[After a little jostling of the frame--she's kind of fidgeting with it until she thinks it's at a good spot--Sheena sits up, straight-backed in front of it with a little wave. She's awkward, but putting her best face forward nevertheless.]

Um. Hi, Vatheon! I wanted to ask, since it's been on my mind a couple times since I got here. Do you guys have any spirits in your worlds? Like, that embody the elements and stuff? Back where I'm from, we have Summon Spirits--eight primary for the main elements, two that are way older, a third for the Kharlan Tree that supplies the world with mana, and [She falters just the tiniest bit, but it's over in less than a second.] a newer one that sees the hearts of people. Anyone have something similar? Or even something different! I guess you could also say this is also about how magic works in your worlds, if you don't have spirits like we do.

Yeah, we do! I have pacts with almost all of them. One won't take pacts, and the other's pact is with someone else, but I have pacts with the elemental, origin, and creation Summon Spirits. Summoning is kind of a lost art on my world, and I'm really the only one left who does it. What's it like on your world?

Pacts... kinda like a junction, I guess? That they're linked with you, and will let you summon them?

That's totally a shame that people don't do it in your world! I know a few people who can do it, but you gotta be properly trained and it's hard work!

Yeah. I can call on them to imbue weapons with their elements or call on the Spirits themselves.

Well, in my world, you--

[Ah... She pauses there, shrugging a bit. It's... Well, it can't be the same in every world, right?]

You have to have elven blood in order to form pacts, because only elves can basically "get in touch" with my world's mana like that.

*Okay, Selphie pauses at that, definitely looking confused. Selphie's knowledge of elves is pretty much Christmas... but she understands about mana, and she nods*

Mmhm. It's this whole long story, but elves are basically more connected to the source of mana than humans are, so they can use the mana that's outside their own bodies and from that source.

[Sheena shrugs almost bodily; sorry, it's that enthusiasm thing. Though Selphie's slowing there kind of... makes her wonder if maybe the implication that she has elven blood is... kind of changing the flow of conversation a bit. She nibbles at her lip a bit, uneasy.]
