[So everyone likes a little bit of unintentional blackmail, right?
How about a nice shot of Vanitas napping against someone's side where he actually looks completely normal and/or harmless? It sure seemed like a fantastic idea to Kimblee.]
When he's like this he seems human, doesn't he? He's been like this for a good fifteen minutes and I just don't have the heart to disturb him. [Kimblee brings his hand down to start playing with Vanitas' hair for a few seconds, something he had been doing before he started the broadcast, then he starts to move him.
Or at least he tries.
...Vanitas isn't budging, and whenever he tries to move him, he goes with. Then Kimblee attempts to move--Vanitas still doesn't budge.
Thiiiiiiiiis can't be good. LAMUFAO WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO HIM.]
All right then, apparently I'm not going anywhere for awhile.

Thiiiiiiiiis can't be good. LAMUFAO WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO HIM.]
All right then, apparently I'm not going anywhere for awhile.
action
He's also fighting the urge to curl even tighter in on himself or even seek the warmth next to him.
Hurry up critters.]
action
Until those critters return, he'll just keep giving it attention all while giving Vanitas a curious look from time to time. Something wasn't right and it was actually bothering Kimblee--Vanitas was nearly impossible to read when he wanted to be mysterious.]
action
He finally looked at Kimblee after feeling those looks every so often.]
...what? [Might be moody too.]
action
Nothing. I just haven't seen you sulk like this before.
action
He'll look back to critter and then to Kimblee. Why does he have a feeling it will be a terrible idea to tell this to Kimblee?] Remember the whole connection I have with that?
[He knows he told him about how killing them does give him the pain.]
Re: action
Kimblee slows his attention to a series of small pets, focusing on Vanitas for the time being.]
I do; you said that killing one passes its pain onto you, correct?
[He's not hurting it as far as he knows--surely if he was it would've attempted to flee, right? But it's been staying in his lap since he picked it up, so what was the problem?
Unless...
Unless other feelings could be passed through to Vanitas, but...]
action
Just going to give him a pointed look.] You're smart. I'm sure you can figure it out.
[Nooooot going to say it. It was stupid. Just going to go back to sulking.]
action
Now he just needs to figure out the easiest way to approach this.]
...You're afraid of what you're feeling through this creature, aren't you.
[It wasn't a question, just a simple observation.]
action
I hate them. [His voice was going back to being even.]
action
[That's the tone he's used to.]
action
They are what I feel. [A few people knew about it. What was another? At least this person he could rely on.] Think of it as the side effect of what Xehanort did. I can create these things from my feelings. When they are destroyed, they return to me with the pain. That in turn makes me stronger, but the pain worst. [Meet never-ending-circle of unhealthy feels. Which are literally cut away and returned double or more]
action
So what were you feeling when you made these? And why were you reacting the way you were when I was petting the creature? Actually, nix that first question; what do you feel when you make them? All of them.
[Man, he does not envy that at all.]
action
[Why were they sharing about feelings. Kimblee you were impossible /huff]
You can tell from their expression. [Vanitas isn't touching it to show.] I don't need to feel things presently either. If all the feelings and negativity just keeps coming back, then think of it as a bottle. I can pull it out whenever I need something.
[A pause.] I used to be able to cover multiple worlds at once with hoards of them.
[This is why he shouldn't have friends. Imagine what teen drama would do to something like that.]
action
[Then he snorts lightly.]
I think I can honestly say I'll be worried if you ever start dating and your significant other breaks up with you if you have that much negativity inside of you.
action
None of that is going to be said though. Let's just latch on to that dating topic.]
Good thing it won't happen then. [And then a pause.] Though wrecking havoc on the city would be fun.
action
I'll believe the former due to your outstanding track record with the young ladies here in the city. As for the latter, I agree though I don't know what the head nurse would do if you caused too much damage.
Re: action
Which pretty much meant angry. It was only two of them and it wasn't like he cared. He also is too busy marking guys as prey.]
I'll probably find out what the head nurse will do eventually. [Just wait to see if an incarnation of his master arrives.]
I should just find someone like you if I ever decide to be stupid enough to try it out. [That would mean letting someone else, which wasn't appealing. He was picky about who he stuck with.]
action
It was just a matter of staying useful.]
...Though I don't think it would be too difficult.
action
No. That would be terrible and weird in a way.
Just going to raise a brow at that.] Did he ever tell you the differences?
[He'll nudge Kimblee lightly. And don't let it go to the head, but he wasn't exactly expendable. Vanitas would end him if he got in the way, but he would...feel something over it.]
Might be a little difficult. [He looked to Kimblee's hand, to critter and then away.] Don't think I'll let just anyone do that.
[Stop going to dumb territory.]
action
[But Vanitassssss.]
I don't. [A smirk as he starts to rub it behind the ears again.] Though I fail to see why petting this caused such a strange reaction.
action
[...he will bite you.]
When I said I wouldn't mind you stroking my ego...[Brow ticked up.] Didn't mean for you to literally stroke my feelings.
[Resting the side of his head against his arm as he looked at the offending critter.] Remember the animal curse and the purring?
action
[Vanitas he will bite back.
With alchemy.]
It certainly brings a new meaning to toying with emotions, doesn't it? [You know what sounds like a good idea? Playing with its feet.]
How could I not? You nearly threw my back out when you pounced on me.
Re: action
You seem to take a certain pride with your work. Definitely sounds like you are the more capable one.
[Kinky.]
Enjoying yourself? [Eyes were narrowing as he looked to his companion. Seriously?
It's a pity he can't try to throw his back out now] I still remember your face when you started purring.
action
I like to think so. Otherwise I don't see why my employers would have released me from prison to begin with.
[He may be pushing the big four-oh in about two years but he's not old yet!]
I should be asking you that, considering the nature of your little pets. [And then Kimblee makes a small face.] You were purring too if I recall correctly.
action
So who held your leash?
[Isn't that when men typically go through mid-life crisis and start picking up a wife more than half their age or get stuff to compensate?]
There are better ways of making me happy. [Or to torture him.] I wasn't fighting it though. [Another beat before he shot a look to the Unversed.] It's kind of like that. [Just more]
