[VIDEO] Digital Devil Stupid

[ The camera seems to be focused on a peach held in one hand. Its skin looks wrinkly and brown and all kinds of squashy at the top. Yep, that peach is definitely rotting.

The voice that accompanies this video of a sad looking fruit is a nice tenor, though the tone is rather flat. It's like a :| given aural form. ]

Do any of you know what causes this?

[ There's a small pause from the off-camera speaker. ]

I would like to cure it.

[ SORRY NO-FACE WE HAVE WASTED YOUR GIFT. Rest in peach. ]

((ooc: Help I can't stop doing silly things. Replies will come from Serph and/or Cielo! ))

[Is... this person trying how to cure age? Because he wouldn't be the only one. But no, it's probably about the peach which looks... Well, at this point, it only qualifies as peach if you tilt your head and squint.]

I'm sorry to inform you that your peach is dying a very painful death and you'd do it a huge favor if you could set it on fire and release it from its pain.

[So very serious about this.]

[The person that replies to Anders is clearly different. Instead of Serph's neutral voice, this one is marked by a Jamaican accent.]

Really? Why is it dying?

[It's very sad to hear that their peach is suffering so much. If Cielo and Serph ever find themselves in custody of another peach, they would like to prevent this tragedy from happening again!]

[Hello there second person whose accent he really, really can't place but sounds utterly funny to Anders.]

Because it's old. Peaches don't live very long at all. Rather tragic, if you ask me, they taste pretty good. But once it turns brown and grows fur, it'S far, far too late for the peach.

[By eating the peach because really, why waste a perfectly good peach? It's not as if the peach was their adopted kid.]
rainbowarch: (☈ - Nope)

[It is a pretty funny accent, not gonna lie.]

Oh, so peaches are food then.

[He had never seen a peach before, and it's a mystery to him how he even knew it was called a peach in the first place. (And yet he didn't know it was something you ate.) Now he feels bad for wasting it.]

[Especially if someone hasn't heard its kind before. So fascinating.]

You've never eaten a peach before? Or seen one? Really?

[Then again, Anders has only seen one because he caught a rare shipment of them and decided to... borrow a couple of them.] In either case, you could try to find a new one, they taste pretty good. Very sweet.

Really. First time I've ever seen a peach. Okay, if I ever get another one, I'll try it.

[He really, really, really wants to try one now.]

If you really want to try one, you could try to look around the various stores. They shouldn't only have peaches, too. Have you tried oranges before?

[...Wait.] Or maybe you should start small. Have you tried apples before?

voice

[Oh Serph, if only Anders knew what your died really consisted of, he'd be horrified. Thankfully, they're only talking about peaches, at least for now.]

If you count turning into a black, smelly ball with white fur covering it as reborn then yes. And I wouldn't recommend eating it anymore unless you want to get sick.

[Will Anders have to explain to you where trees come from, Serph?]
rainbowarch: (☈ - "Guide Dyaus through" ...Seriously!?)

No, never seen an apple either.

[...orange? He only knows of orange as a color. The best color.]

You can eat orange?

[HOW DOES THAT EVEN WORK. PLEASE EXPLAIN.]

[. . .]

It's rotting. Looks like ya wasted a good peach.

[And she hates wasted food.]

[Uh, what.]

You don't even know what rotting is? It's no good. Ya gotta throw it out. That's what happens when you wait too long to eat a fruit.

[Did he seriously not know...?]

voice

[Did these individuals really not know what fruit rotting was? She might as well help him by providing a basic explanation.]

That is caused by bacteria and other organisms existing and multiplying on the peach, which results in it rotting. I am afraid there is no cure for it.

[It's pretty strange that someone wouldn't know things like this. Oh well, Ange isn't about to not answer a question when asked.]

It cannot fully be prevented, however washing a fruit after purchasing it should keep the bacteria from multiplying quite so quickly.

[Hopefully he'll put that knowledge to good use. Ooo at least he's polite.]

You are very welcome.

I am Ange Serena. Yourself?

[What the heck? Is this guy insane?]

What do ya mean 'what's the benefits to eating a fruit'? It's food! If ya don't eat food, you'll starve.

It is a pleasure to meet you, Serph.

[Hmm she did have to wonder, how is it that he didn't know such thing?]

Were you truly unaware of the fact that fruit rots after a period of time?
