[ He remembered to not type like he talks, at least.

He's running out of ideas to try. And doesn't.. really have anyone he feels like he can ask in person right now... ]

[ He notices, but it's not really his place to say much since they've just met. Riku doesn't know him. ]

We can head up to the island. The snow is pretty nice.

... Would need to add a little in layers, light off of snow would still burn me easily... [ but he could go do that easily enough. ]

Yes. Sunlight in any strength tends to. Spent an hour or so on a sunny day on the island without precaution and ended red for days. Down here, not so much trouble with it.

Oh. [ He tugs at the corner of his sleeve for a second before a thought comes to him. ] You can borrow my jacket. The light doesn't hurt me the same way it used to.

[ Even if it was less hurt and more sensitivity than anything else. ]

Kind of. [ A half shrug. ] It'll keep some of the light from burning you.

[ He only sighs before shrugging out of it and offering it to him. ]

[ Hey, you mentioned trouble with light too, he doesn't want to let you get burnt while you're trying to make him feel better. So a sort of 'as you will' nod and he'll take the jacket.. stare at it for a moment-

Is it okay?

[ He asks just to make sure, crossing his arms as if suddenly feeling awkward by having given his jacket to someone he's just met. Riku looks off to the side, waiting. ]

It is... a little small...

[ But not in the shoulders, which is fairly important. Although some what odd - is Riku going to be ridiculously tall and broad or something when he grows up or is Duke just ridiculously thin. It doesn't cover nearly as much as he's used to - his own coats are those really long ones so... ]

... but not uncomfortably so...

[ He drops his arms, rubbing at one a little sheepishly when Duke comments on it being small. Riku thinks he's grown a lot considering how he used to be a few years ago, but... Guess you can't please everyone. ]

It should work at least. Come on. [ He turns away, expecting the other to follow him. ]

And his expectations are met. Duke is just a master of walking quietly, so don't expect to hear him following too much.

[ Riku doesn't say much as they walk, more comfortable with the silence, but he cranes his head a bit to look at Duke for a second. Trying to assess him. ]

Hmm. [ A slight smile. ] What were you doing anyway?

[ In 'his' house. He's been taking care of them. And... that's just about it, really... ]

[ Zelda had only slept for a week, once. It should... be soon? Please let them wake up soon, this is awkwardly stressful.. ]

That long? [ He looks up a little, hands sliding into the pockets of his pants since he no longer has his jacket. ] What was it like?

.... Extremely uncomfortable and confusing. Waking was unpleasant.

[ He had the strangest feeling he hadn't been sleeping in the bed Zelda lead him back to - but oh well. ]

I guess it would be after sleeping that much. [ Oh hey. They've finally made it to the elevator that leads up to the island. Riku feels he's been here too many times in the last few days, but he prefers going up there rather than sticking around down here. ] Ready?
