007 - [Accidental Video]

[What began as the harmless gift of a bunch of costume mermaid tails transformed, after making its way around town, into the rather fishy rumor that Tifa was secretly a mermaid. The miniskirts made it clear enough that she had legs during the day, but what about at night? Did she sleep in her bathtub?

Thus it is that Tifa finds herself having some difficulty bathing this evening... with one of the mermaid tails suddenly in the way. Somehow it's gotten stuck on and she can't get the thing off. Not actually wanting to spend the night in her bathtub, she calls up Rinoa to give her a hand.

The video clicks on as her friend arrives, the SFC recording from the edge of the sink, thankfully facing Tifa's back.]

I think we should be oday. [Grah, her nose is clogging up again.] We should dake it slow and eady. Den we won't fall.

[Her steps will try to match Tifa's hopping pace.]

Right. The couch is good, I think.

[She gestures with her free hand, and then hops that way while hanging onto Rinoa for support, pausing any time she feels they're a bit off-balance.]

[It was a tricky walk for Rinoa as well, although it was mainly because she had to go back and forth between balancing Tifa and stopping her nose from bleeding.

When they finally make it to the couch, she bends over to help Tifa sit down on it before she hurries over to the kitchen. She'll be back in a minute with an ice pack and a couple paper towels.]

Wad a pain.

[Tifa relaxes back onto the sofa for a few moments before she starts making better use of the towel and drying off her hair.

She gives Rinoa a wry smile when she returns.]

Sorry. Somehow I thought it'd be a lot easier.

I didn't mean hebbing you. I meant dis dupid nosebleed.

[She's glad Tifa is out of the tub, and she'll be peachy once her nose stops running and being clogged with blood.]

At least you're out. And it coulda been worde.

You wouldn't've gotten it if you hadn't been helping.

[But she shrugs. No use pressing it if it's not a big deal.]

[This isn't the first time she's had problems with it.]

I dink if anyone asks about id, I'm gonna lie. I don't dink you want everyone knowing you're a mermaid right now anyway.

Maybe we should try and work on that later.

Mm, not really. A lie would probably be more convincing than the truth anyway. "I fell down helping a mermaid out of a bathtub..."

Yeah, I guess that is kind of crazy. Well, if you don't mind, then maybe I'll try it and see what everyone says. One Starfish Buck says the locals believe me, though.
