Day 289 - [Video | Open to Action]

[The face of a boy about 7 years old appears on the SFC; the blond hairstyle and clear blue eyes make him pretty recognizable-- at least to others. He's still in his pajamas, the T-shirt now especially oversized, but his pants at least have a drawstring! Roxas himself looks lost and confused, but not really frightened.]

Is this a walky-talky? Hello?

[He frowns a little at the unfamiliar sound of his own voice and tries clearing his throat to no avail.]

I think I'm on another world. There's all these tall buildings out the window. Riku, are you here, too?

[Another pause as he notices his bangs and pulls them farther down in front of his eyes.]

Someone did something funny to my hair...

((Roxas has been a victim of the mental change as well... which means he has the memories of a seven-year-old Sora. Oops.))

[ Now Sora was making a game out of it. ]

[Shaky video is go as he starts out of his room.]

Hmm...he's not here!

[ Sora's opening cabinets and checking inside. He's thinking Riku would be a kid and small enough to be inside them. ]

You really think he'd fit in there?

[He's still thinking they're looking for a kid, too, but an eight-year-old. He checks the next room over instead.

Hello sleeping redhead. He lowers his voice cautiously.]

That's not Riku...

Hmm? [ Sora looks back at the screen curiously. Who's that? Sora doesn't know, but it doesn't stop him from looking. ]

He should fit! He's not that much taller than me.

[ Not yet anyway. ]

Shh!

[Roxas creeps into the room. Gotta check the closet, okay.]

I'm taller'n you and he's taller than me.

[By a lot more than they know.]

No he's not.

[ Sora frowns a little. This not!Sora keeps saying Sora's wrong and it upsets him a little. ]

[Carefully opening the closet and-- nope. No Riku. Closing it back up again and tip-toeing out past the snoozing stranger.

...pausing to look back at him again though. He doesn't look familiar, but... Hm.]

[ Sora keeps looking too. He's gone into Riku's room now, but it doesn't look like the older teen is there either. ]

[Distracted by his unexpected roommate, Roxas is not sure why this is becoming an argument.]

He's not that much taller..

[Checking around the rest of the apartment, but it looks like he's not here either.]

[ Sora sucks his bottom lip in and doesn't say anything else, as he keeps looking. Now Sora's getting upset for another reason entirely. ]

I can't find him....

[Don't do that, Sora, you're going to make him upset, too.]

I- I bet he woke up in somebody else's room, too.

M-maybe.

[ Sora takes a deep breath and tries not to cry. He can't cry. Riku would just make fun of him! At least that's what he was telling himself. ]

And he's prob'ly looking for us.

[Roxas chews on his lip and then nods.]

We should stay put. That's what you do when someone's looking for you.

[ Sora nodded though he still looked upset. ]

Yeah. We'll wait right here. Riku'll find us.

[ Sensing Sora's distress one of the dogs, the big black one, came over and nudged Sora's arm. ]

Huh? Ah! A dog! [ Sora didn't look scared though. Actually the presence of the animal seemed to help. ]

Ahh, you've got a dog?

[There don't seem to be any animals here at all. =( ]

Yeah. I woke up next to a cat too.

[ Sora reached out and pet the dog which greeted him with a lick on the face. ]

Hey! [ He laughed. ]

Aw, no fair.

[Roxas will just plop down on the sofa with his SFC. The apartment seems kind of lonely and strange all of a sudden.]

[ Sora looked back at the screen, his earlier annoyance forgotten. ]

Maybe you could come over and play with them too?

[...a nod.]

Once Riku shows up.

You could still come over if he's not here.

[ Sora wouldn't mind. Having someone else over would be fun! ]

Okay.

[But wait. There's this problem.]

...how do I get there?

Uh...[ Sora hadn't thought about that. ]

We'll wait a while for Riku.

Then I'll go look for you. [He is the older one, maybe he can find his way.]
