014 | Accidental Video

[Electricity crackles across the screen -- no, wait, the electricity is actually flowing around the twelve-year-old boy standing some distance away. This may be the first time most of Vatheon has seen Ky out of his uniform. It's sitting neatly folded on the desk. Ky isn't sure why he woke up in it, but he knows he hasn't earned it yet.

He frowns and shuts his eyes in concentration, muttering under his breath.]

Come on...

[The electricity concentrates around his hands, and he opens his eyes and starts to smile before it goes shooting out, some towards the ceiling but most disappearing into the air. There's a reason he picked as empty of a space to practice in as he could.

He closes his eyes to try to concentrate again, but gets only a very weak crackle that soon fizzles out for his efforts.]

I'll have to try again later.

[He pads over to study the SFC, obvious confusion on his face at the fact that it's on. He's only used it for texts, and he doesn't seem to have an incoming message.]

What are you doing now?

No, they're not here... They won't come here, right? They won't take me back, will they? I don't want to go back to that place...

_{[He hesitates but nods eventually.]}

[Then Ky's grabbing a coat, and, after a moment's consideration, the sword he found here as well. It's a little heavy for him, but better than nothing.]

Do you see any buildings?

_{[The boy looks around, then nods.]}

[Not quite as hopeful as Ky had hoped, as he heads down the stairs and out of his building.]

_{[The boy blinks, then looks down.]}

_{[The boy only nods.]}

[Ky shows up, when he can, a little breathless. He pants in between his words.]

Are you still okay?

_{[Libertà looks around, then nods.]}

I'm okay.

[Ky offers out his hand, to shake.]

I'm Ky. It's nice to meet you.

_{[Libertà only looks at Ky's hand, not sure what he's supposed to do.]}

...I'm Libertà.

[Ky drops it back to his side after a moment, offers an awkward smile.]

Have you been here long?

_{[The boy shakes his head.]}

No... I woke up here today in the morning.

You don't have a place to stay, then?

[Is there someone who could take in children Ky could bring him to?]

I don't... but it's fine.

_{[It's better than staying in a place like the one he stayed at back home.]}

I'm afraid I haven't seem any churches here, that's how I usually find help. But I woke up in an apartment, and someone said it was fine to stay there. Do you want to come back?

_{[He looks at Ky, unsure.]}

...It's fine. I can stay here.

Would you feel safe to do so?

If you don't feel comfortable staying with me, there's a woma who gave me a map who seems very nice. Maybe you could stay with her.

_{[In fact he still isn't sure if he feels safe at all. He wants to feel safe but... he's still afraid that those people will find him. Or that someone will tell them where he is.]}
