[there's music drifting over the network this morning. loud, upbeat hip hop, to be precise. it's almost drowning out the sound of power tools. after a few minutes of this, a hand reaches into the view of the video feed and grabs a water bottle. Tony dictates idly from somewhere offscreen]

So, I think I'm getting my bearings. Thanks to those of you on the volunteer can opener brigade, that is. I gotta hand it to this place, it's like Mardi Gras with better beads. I flash my shoulder at the natives and they give me free power tools. So, uh, things are coming along. I might almost be able to make a decent pad for myself at this rate, lack of answers aside.

[what he neglects to say is that as soon as he IS settled, he'll he looking for said answers.]

One question, though. What's this I keep hearing about kids?

[Wow that music is certainly... new. And dissonant at points. He's not sure he likes it, but to each their own.]

Most of the children aren't actually children. Curses are one of the strange things about this place and this week a lot of people have been aged down, I guess you'd call it. A few are older though, like I am.

[He smiles a bit wistfully at that, knowing he'll go back to an adolescent level of maturity at the end of the week.]

Curses. That sounds pretty superstitious for a place that has so much complex science involved in sustaining the habitat.

Well that's what they call them anyway. It could be some form of science, I don't know.

Not as well as I'd like, but it's a work in progress. Got a lot of stuff to build before I'll be even remotely comfortable with the place. How long've you been here?

A little over a year, actually. My anniversary was the end of this past month. What sort of things do you build? You must be from a very technological world, judging by your surroundings there.

[Power tools would be high technology in Hyrule.]

I build whatever I need, which in this case, happens to be a new assembly for my, er, customized defense system. And then we'll go from there.

..Customized defense system?

[Blinkblink.]

That sounds pretty useful. Does it work against anything?

If it doesn't, it doesn't for long. Let's put it that way. [he smirks.]. And yeah, you could definitely call it useful.

[He gets that Tony is being cryptic with him, though he can't fathom why.]

Well, I probably wouldn't understand it if I saw it, but good luck with your building. If you need anything, parts or anything of that nature, I can try to help you get them. I run a delivery service. I would just need a somewhat detailed description of what you need.

[Of course, once he's back to his normal mentality, he may not even understand that much. As things stand now during the curse, though, he'll be able to figure it out.]
