Hello, Vatheon. I hope everyone is feeling a little more themselves after last week? I had meant to do this sooner, but circumstances prevented it. I would like to introduce you all to my ancestor, Zelda.

[With that, she zooms the camera out a bit to show another girl, practically identical to her other than the fact that she has bangs.]

Hello, Vatheon! It’s nice to meet you.

[ The girl waves energetically to the camera. She has only been in the bubble for a few weeks, but she already feels at home with her new friends. It was cute seeing everyone running around as babies, too! But, like her descendant, she’s glad everyone’s back to normal as well. ]

I apologize if this is too confusing. We’re still trying to get used to it ourselves!

[The princess' smile grows sheepish.]

It is a bit confusing since we share a name and an appearance. To help differentiate, I will be wearing my tiara again. If anyone is ever speaking to both of us at the same time, please refer to me by title - "princess" - so as to minimize any confusion. Hyrule did not yet have a royal family in Zelda's time, so we will easily be able to know who you are referring to that way.

[ The newer Zelda nods. At least she’s finally gotten to the point where she stops visibly swooning whenever “Hyrule” is mentioned. (Hey, it’s been her dream to live on the Surface for a long time, okay.) ]

Or you can call me “Sky”, as some have already dubbed me. It doesn’t matter to me either way. If there’s anything I can do to make this easier, please- don’t hesitate to ask.

Reincarnation?

[The only thing that comes to mind (well, Wiesmann's mind) is things he'd heard of in certain religions, like Buddhism and Hinduism, and even those had been a fairly foreign concept to him when he'd gone up in the Himmelreich at the end of the war.

But he refrains from saying anything about those ideas because even if she's from a land he's never heard of, religious topics were delicate at best regardless of who you were speaking to.]

What would the difference be then, between reincarnation and descendant?

Typically, a descendant would share only genetics with their ancestor. But Zelda and I...

We share the same fate. Though due to the fact that the royal family has always been careful to carry the bloodline down, I don't doubt that we are blood related as well.

It is something we are still coming to terms with ourselves. If I had not seen two of Link here in the city nearly a year ago now, I think that I would be rather overwhelmed by all of this.

Not all that common, truth be told. I have only seen it happen for people who have experienced time travel back on their home worlds.

I do have a little, yes. In the case I am thinking of, the two souls seem to function in a somewhat symbiotic fashion.

[He does, but he hopes that the two of them will keep it between them. He knows right now that he's better off maintaining the facade of the derpy teenager Yashiro Isana, but finding some one who might actually understand some of the things he's been through recently is too tempting to simply blurt it all out.

Somewhat. In a way you could say I was forced out of my own body, but rescued by this one. I regret having to keep the body of a mere boy, but given how he was used by a very... destructive power that very well could have taken his sanity, it was all I could do.

I've seen others come away from the influence of the Colorless King relatively fine, if not... upset and reasonably shaken, so I don't understand why the consciousness of this boy doesn't seem to be present. Considering I lost my entire body thanks to that monster, though... all I can assume is that my presence is simply too strong.

A regrettable situation, but given what the Colorless King made him do, I'm not sure he would turn out as alright as others...

Well. That part isn't important. But simply put yes, Kings have a variety of powers. Even separated from the slate I'm still capable of manipulating gravity to a certain degree.

Yes, most of us still have some access to our powers here. I am glad to hear yours are not affected too terribly. I am afraid I do not know anything of your Kings or the Dresden slate...
