[Even though this feed is coming from one Rin Okumura's SFC, it seems to be focused on Death the Kid, leaning against a low wall outside the Villa. He's looking right, silently, at something off camera, intently focused on it. There's a good two minutes of nothing before he speaks.]

This really is a terrible idea...

[There's no actual response, verbally at least, but what does happen is... interesting to say the least. A blur of... mostly varying hues of blue goes zooming by at an impressive speed. Impressive if only because the person going by appears to be on a rolling office chair. Not something one would equate to speed. But Rin has got it going pretty damn fast because he's actually using his flames to propel himself across the stone entryway of the Villa like a rocket.

And it seems to be working pretty well. He's crouched on the seat, almost like a surfer, palms out and blasting his blue fire down at the ground, and so far appears to be maintaining decent balance. He even manages to zip back around with a gentle coaxing of his flames to the right, guiding the normally unwieldy chair in to a nice turn. He lets out a very loud whoop as he goes zooming by Kid even faster, prompting the reaper to just roll his gold eyes and suddenly walk off.

Rin doesn't notice he's gone, and makes a few more laps (with varying cries of victory) before Kid returns, a bag of ice and first aid kit in either hand.

He knows where this is going.

And true to his silent prediction, Rin decides to pick up a little more speed the next time around by increasing the intensity of his flames, and just as he gets past where the SFC can view, there's a very loud CRASH!

Kid moves off his perch and follows the path Rin took.]

I warned you, Rin.

Uhm. Y-yeah. But it was kinda... sealed? Until last year anyway. So I've been havin' to get used to controllin' it.

Sealed...? Is it hard to control?

Yeah. I mean it's powerful stuff, so it's not like I can just... know how to control it after not havin' it for most of my life. But I'm gettin' better!

Why was it sealed? Does your brother have similar powers too?

No, he was too weak when he was born to have 'em.

And... well... they were sealed so I could live a normal life... at least for a little while.

[And so he could eventually become a weapon for the Vatican, but he'll refrain from saying that right now.]

So he doesn't have any powers at all?

I see... what caused the seal to be... broken then?

I'unno... time, I guess. Pretty hard to hold back that much power for so long, 'least that's what I think.

Time... I guess it makes sense that the seal would wear off with time...

Are these the only powers you have?

Uhhm. No. Well-- yes? I mean I'm stronger than most people and I heal from injuries like that-- [he snaps his fingers] but besides the flames, no, not really.

Do other people in your world have similar powers then?

Some. Depends on the person. I mean it ain't common, no...

Do these powers cause any harm to you when you use them?

No, not really.
