12 ⊙ dream | Rising Sun, 1908
[If anyone were to wander into this particular dream, they would be greeted by what appears to be a desert town. While it may have been pristine and exotic in the past, now it resembled a battlefield. Many of the buildings that once stood proud in the city were now in varying degrees of ruin, and quite a few streets left much to be desired. Not only that, but there were the bodies. If they were to explore, they'd come across a number of them--maybe it was a small handful, maybe there were dozens but regardless of the number it's obvious that there's a higher goal in mind than quashing a rebellion.
Soon enough, a relatively clear street comes into view with a small group of Ishvalans below staring up at something--no, someone. Closer inspection reveals that it's not just anyone--most Amestrians wouldn't be running around with half of their uniform off, let alone standing where a sniper could easily pick him off. At first it seems like Kimblee will walk away--surely he would what with being outnumbered, right? ...No. He's moving. Is he going to surrender? ...Not likely.]
A soldier--?
A transmutation circle... A State Alchemist?!"
[Bingo.
There's a glint of red in the sunlight as he places something between his teeth, then he's clapping his hands together to create a brilliant crackle of red light that trails down the side of the building and into the streets beneath their feet.
And then everything explodes with a deafening roar. Rubble flies and smoke billows out between the buildings and... Oh dear. All of that just with one shot.
It's silent for a few seconds, and then a maddening shriek comes from Kimblee as he dissolves into laughter, his arms outstretched before the ruined street.]
WONDERFUL! It's magnificent! This Philosopher's Stone--! [Kimblee no what are you
Kimblee. Kimblee don't flop down on your back.
Kimblee. Get up.
Stop cackling like a madman where someone can easily see you. Stop it.
...Then Kimblee jerks out of his sleep far too soon for his liking.. He makes a small hum as he turns over to stare up at the ceiling with a bit of a disappointed look. It always ends just as things start to get good.]
[ooc; just mark in the subject line if it's dream interaction or after he's awake!]
no subject
Once they hit the end, he does the smartest thing and walks right out into the open to cross the streets. Come on, Vanitas! Let's go find some more things to take care of.] I'd think we're a bit too close to be using ranks, aren't we?
no subject
...and what are you doing, Kimblee?
Thinking about it, he could see how it's easier to use alchemy in the open versus an alley. And they might think he's harmless on first glance. Still an interesting risk. Kimblee was enjoying this a lot more than he thought. Following after and keep his attention on around for any movement.] I'm making up for when I couldn't. [And it was fun.]
no subject
If you really want to call me Major, feel free to even when this ends. Just don't expect me to answer to it right away.
no subject
Major Solf J. Kimblee. [There was a smirk. He's going to have fun with this. Why does Kimblee keep giving him stuff?] It depends.
no subject
I almost wonder if you'd ever be able to figure out my middle name with that attitude. [Shhh, he might actually like to see Vanitas have a bit of fun.] Though now I have to wonder what it depends on.
no subject
Jennifer. [Not serious, but he wanted to see a reaction. ] That might come with showing you what else I can do. [He's just being a tease at this point.] James?
no subject
no subject
John Jacob Jingleheimersmith. [He starts humming a bit more to the song. Someone was in a very good mood.] I think I'll always have a frustration with your name on it. [A low hum] And have to wait around for something.
[Maybe he will learn patience from it all?
Or maybe he'll just go back to taking what he wants. He likes that much better.]
If you could get away with anything right now, what would it be?
no subject
[A beat.]
You may have to give me an example; I've done plenty of things here that most people wouldn't have gotten away with already.
no subject
I can just write my name on yours.
[And then he will look very interested. Story time about things you shouldn't have gotten away with?]
Do share. [He was also enjoying something else.] Something you haven't done yet.
no subject
It'd look messy, wouldn't it?
[A beat, and then he's leaning up against the nearest wall and lowering his voice.]
Where do you think that stain on that jacket came from, Vanitas?
no subject
Might be interesting to test his own healing capabilities against Kimblee's specialty.]
Maybe for the another experiment. We could try it on a local.
[Pausing to look at the stain he's referring to.] Normally you are neat. [Unless it's his desk.
He's helping himself to rolling the jacket sleeves.]
no subject
I'd like that.
[He makes a vague motion as if he was grabbing someone and pulling them in front of himself.] Normally, yes.
[THEY WEREN'T REALLY DOING THEIR JOBS SO HE HAD TO DO IT FOR THEM...]
no subject
He'll give a look for a moment, but won't ask. That could lead to more stupid friendship or whatever it was they had stuff. He wasn't planning on testing just what would happen if he sees a bullet go through the other.
Vanitas will stand next to Kimblee as he crossed his arms.]
Another reason to like you. [Such an overachiever!]
You've gave me a summary of the war before. You never gave me the details. [They were good details too. From what he was seeing.] What do you think would happen if you blew up "your people" in this dream?
no subject
[Kimblee falls silent for a few moments while he thinks about what Vanitas said, one hand wandering down to his pocket to roll the stone between his fingers. The thought never really crossed his mind before, so to actually entertain it now... Hmmm...] But I'm not sure. It might even be frowned upon by the 'friends' I have in high places.
no subject
You just like me stroking your ego. [It seems like a win-win situation for Kimblee. He gets to talk about what he enjoyed and he gets flattered.] Maybe if you sweeten the deal.
[He will watch his hand go in to his pocket. What are you playing with? And then he remembered the pretty little stone from the start. He's used to you swallowing those.]
It is a dream. Your dream. [Rolling his shoulders.] You can probably do whatever you want.
no subject
what are you doing
Vani wat.]
I can't say I've met someone who doesn't enjoy a compliment or two. [A beat.] What else do you want?
[He finally removes his hand with the stone between his fingers, still rolling it back and forth to keep his hands busy.]
What would you have me do?
no subject
A lot of things. [A bit of grin as he tugged a bit.] I'll think about it.
[He'll raise a brow before nudging.] I said do what you want. You already know I just want to see you in action.
no subject
You're awfully demanding today, aren't you?
[Not like he's really complaining.]
With or without the stone?
no subject
[Does he want him to feel him up? He has no issues touching what's his.] I could make it up in another way.
[He's letting go to stand in front of Kimblee.]
Either is pretty. [Thinking it over.] Stone. It looks like it does bigger damage.
no subject
[He slips the stone back into his pocket and slides his arm around Vanitas' shoulders to tug him through the building to the next street. Once out, he glances back at Vanitas with a curious look.]
You can detect people, right?
no subject
Then he's led on out. Vanitas will allow the contact
especially since he was starved of it for a weekand will walk along him.]More or less. Why? [He can sense hearts enough. He can't sense feelings or thoughts though. Enough to be able to corridor above his targets to get them :D]
no subject
[Kimblee moves to clap his hands together in the doorway, but stops just before his palms meet. He never did have the best ideas, but... Hm. On a second thought, he extends his hand and beckons Vanitas closer.]
I owe you something. While I'm more than willing to repeat this on the island, this may be the only chance we get here.
no subject
[He was pondering summoning his keyblade because reactions from a new audience could be entertaining when he saw that hand.
Tilting his head as he moved close.]
And what do you have in mind? [He's keeping himself aware of what was around him.]
no subject
[When he's in range, Kimblee grabs him and pulls him against his chest with one hand and uses the other to retrieve the stone from his pocket.]
Feeling is better than seeing, in my experience.
