[It's a large, imposing hive that Nepeta is standing in front of, her eyes wide as she stares up at it. Pounce stands next to her, a smart green ribbon tied around her neck for the occasion - Nepeta has had to straighten it more than once, though, because it's been a long journey to get here.

She's so excited! For the first time ever she'll see her moirail in person! Her own moirail, bossy as he could be, and she just can't wait for him to open the door so she can fling herself at him.

Sure enough the door slowly starts creaking open, only for a white centaur to appear behind it - oh, yes, of course! Equius' butler lusus, Aurthour! She's heard lots about him, and Pounce is already purring their business at him when Nepeta spies a shadow in the background, looming yet apparently unsure whether to step forward or not.

She knows who that is!

The kittytroll launches herself through the air, and to her surprise the second before she hits him, Equius goes completely limp, so the two of them go sliding right down the entranceway together.]

Found you!!

[...wow. She can understand his need for constant towels now.]

I don't know if he knows, we never talked about it! But RoboEquius had a crush on him for awhile, and I made those legs for him in the Veil, and I thought it was pretty obvious!

And I never said it was a good reason, just that it was the reason I had!

RoboEquius had a... Equius, even I didn't notice, so it's pretty safe to say it's not as obvious as you thought it was...

And okay, okay, that isn't what I meant. I mean that even if I'm with him now and you're with Gamzee, it's still okay for you to be nice to him! You should be able to be friends!

It was embarrassing. That's the first time that blasted robot started acting up and disobeying. I had been with Gamzee for almost half a sweep by that time!

I am trying to be friendlier! It's just... hard. Hard and awkward, especially when I have to do maintenance on his legs and get between them, and... you know, that thing you had to ask Darkleer about...

Oh... I'm sorry if I bothered you when I mentioned that, I never realized! Do you think it would be easier for you to get along with him if we asked Darkleer to take over looking after his legs? I wish you'd told me about this before.

He disobeyed by sneaking off to the Halloween party and dancing with Tavros when he wasn't supposed to!

[This was with a different Tavros, actually, but RoboEquius' mechanical feelings haven't really changed all that much.]

No, the legs are my project, I don't want Darkleer taking over. He wouldn't understand some of what I've done. [Also, Darkleer engages in raunchy sex with Tavros' ancestor on a regular basis, so it would probably be awkward for him too.]

... I should probably just tell Tavros all this, huh?

[She nods, understanding his reasoning - it was the answer she'd expected, actually, but she still felt she had to suggest it.]

I think that would be the best thing to do. He's very understanding, you know, and I think he'd be relieved to know that there was a reason you were being so awkward with him.
