[In the early hours of the morning, what people will see over their SFCs is a very large room that takes on the appearance of an art studio. Despite the many artistic supplies spread in various locations, the room does house a single man in it. This man is sitting in front of a canvas that doesn't have much on it, yet he's staring very intently at the canvas before setting the brush down. What can be seen is a painting of three hearts; one white, one black, and one gray. After a few moments of staring at his creation, he picks up the SFC which was already switched on prior to him painting this odd picture, the expression on his face rather neutral. Not happy or sad, simply neutral.]

Do call me curious dear Vatheon, but this is something I have been pondering for some time now. Why should we celebrate holidays we don't celebrate back home? Certainly some have been for the amusement of it, but take for instance this one we currently celebrated. For those who don't believe in love, a holiday entirely dedicated to it is seen as ridiculous. But that can be said of all people who don't believe in certain holidays, doesn't it?

Though this holiday especially can also arouse questions within us, particularly to matters of the heart as that seems to be its theme. A few I can think of are: Is there such a thing as true happiness or love? Is the feeling truly there or not? Can the supposed happiness and love gained with another who said they felt the same remain always? Or will it fade away like sand being washed away by the ocean?

Is that such a surprise to see someone who doesn't believe in it? There are people who think love is a mere figment of our imagination.

Well... even if we are just making it up in our heads, does that matter if it feels so good?

*Says Selphie, totally lacking in experience and having never been in love. But she's read about it in enough books, and she's seen it happen to lots of people, so it has to exist somehow, she's sure*

*Oh wow, these questions are so hard. Selphie really does have to think*

Well... Maybe, yeah. Is that so bad? If you're happy? Think about how happy people are when they're in love together!

[He's just laughing, excuse him.]

Living in ignorance can only get you so far, your eyes have to open eventually.

*Selphie pulls a face as she ignores the laughter*

So basically what you're saying here is that just cause you haven't been in love you don't think it exists?

[Ouch what.]

Who says I haven't been in love? You assumed things too quickly.

*But she's been around the world, and she's met men who are cynical about love*

Just figured that you're thinking about this pretty soon after Valentine's day, so wondered if maybe you'd just had a bad date, or maybe no date at all..

[Well she's partly right about having a bad date.]

It's actually been on my mind for a long while, I thought it appropriate to bring it up close to Valentine's.

*Selphie just watches him for a moment before tilting her head and deciding to ask her own questions*

Does it bother you, if other people think they're in love and they're happy that way?

[He thought this girl was cute at first, but now she's kind of a pain.]

Bother me? No, I find it more laughable than a bother.

*Aww, Angelo, you meanie. Selphie's not really sure what to say to that, so she glances away from the SFC. Not existent was one thing, but laughable was another*

Oh...

Well, I guess that's everyone happy, then!

*If she'd ever been loved, she might want to argue a point, but her experience here isn't enough for that*

[Since she seemed to ask him, Angelo figures he'll ask right back.]

Have you ever been in love, darling?

Me? Oh, no..

*She looks embarrassed at this, shaking her head slightly. She might have been close once or twice, but real love? She isn't sure what that is, and now she's beginning to wonder if it even exists*

That's quite sad to hear, such a lovely lady as yourself not finding love. Perhaps I can be of some help.

[He wants to have some fun tonight in other words.]

Nah... I'm not the kind of girl that guys fall in love with...

*She doesn't get it now, she might be a little slow*

But I thought you didn't believe in love? So why would you wanna help?

Well I may not believe in emotional love, I do believe in physical pleasure.

*Selphie's just blinking and blushing, not exactly sure which first he's talking about here*

*Yeah, she's never been propositioned like this before*

[Well this is probably the first time she will be.]

*Oh, well, dinner was different. She still looks pretty red all the same*

Dinner is...well, y'know, that's more of a friendly thing to do so that's a better idea...

[He ponders for a moment and thinks up an idea.]

Do you visit the Golden Victory Host Club? You could come by there and we can meet after I'm done with clients.

*The host club. Why doesn't that surprise her in any way? She tilts her head slightly*
