[In the early hours of the morning, what people will see over their SFCs is a very large room that takes on the appearance of an art studio. Despite the many artistic supplies spread in various locations, the room does house a single man in it. This man is sitting in front of a canvas that doesn't have much on it, yet he's staring very intently at the canvas before setting the brush down. What can be seen is a painting of three hearts; one white, one black, and one gray. After a few moments of staring at his creation, he picks up the SFC which was already switched on prior to him painting this odd picture, the expression on his face rather neutral. Not happy or sad, simply neutral.]

Do call me curious dear Vatheon, but this is something I have been pondering for some time now. Why should we celebrate holidays we don't celebrate back home? Certainly some have been for the amusement of it, but take for instance this one we currently celebrated. For those who don't believe in love, a holiday entirely dedicated to it is seen as ridiculous. But that can be said of all people who don't believe in certain holidays, doesn't it?

Though this holiday especially can also arouse questions within us, particularly to matters of the heart as that seems to be its theme. A few I can think of are: Is there such a thing as true happiness or love? Is the feeling truly there or not? Can the supposed happiness and love gained with another who said they felt the same remain always? Or will it fade away like sand being washed away by the ocean?

[Angelo pretty much thought Serph would answer in that way.]

Those are nice, I suppose.

[Says the guy who is inwardly thinking Serph is boring.]

[bufudine]

[Serph tilts his head. Angelo seems disappointed.]

What of you?

[What makes Angelo feels good?]

[beauchevalier]

[Angelo isn't about to lie or half truth his way during this, might as well be honest.]

Wine and gambling naturally, though I do enjoy sexual bonding as well.

[bufudine]

[He thinks he might regret asking this, but...]

Why do you enjoy these?

[beauchevalier]

[He answers again honestly.]

They give me the sensation of pleasure since I can't truly feel it.

[bufudine]

[Serph doesn't believe it, but he doesn't say so. There's a pause before he asks--]

Do you truly feel pain?

[beauchevalier]

[Angelo lays back against the couch and leans himself near Serph once more.]

That depends on the type of pain you're thinking about.

[bufudine]

[Serph keeps his gaze on Angelo's face. If Angelo bothered to ask for definition, it means that the answers aren't all "No". Really, Angelo may as well have told him "Yes."]

The kind when Marcello is involved.

[beauchevalier]

[Angelo leans back and seems to more tense than before, he might even be showing a hint of anger. Of all the things to use against him... He should have never told Serph about Marcello now.]

You don't need to know that.

[bufudine]

[In the face of anger, Serph remains the same as ever. Cool, calm, collected. Angelo's bubbling anger is nothing compared to Heat's, really.

His voice is level, matter-of-fact.]

You feel pain. You feel anger.

[He holds Angelo's gaze with his own.]

You can feel happiness, too.

[beauchevalier]

[Angelo grabs a near by couch pillow and throws it at Serph angrily, before storming into the bedroom to hide under the blankets. He may or may not be hiding his face in the pillows because he might not want Serph to see him getting upset.]

[bufudine]

[Whatever reaction Serph had been expecting, it hadn't been that. Serph catches the pillow, bewildered, before watching Angelo storm into his bedroom. After a long moment, Serph puts down the pillow and makes his way to Angelo's bedroom, but does not enter.

Instead, he leans against the doorframe and waits, watching the lump under the blankets known as Angelo.]

[beauchevalier]

[Angelo did decide to hide his face in the pillows and bury himself in the blankets to hide himself. All Serph will be able to hear is groans and maybe soft sobbing of someone who is in fact upset. His pride won't let him move from this spot nor let him even face Serph right now.]

[bufudine]

[Uhhh..........................]

What is wrong?

[beauchevalier]

[Angelo says nothing, his body and head still buried within the bed. The groaning and sobbing having stopped, silent is present instead. After a short while however, he sits up to stare at Serph while remaining silent until his expression turns soft as he moves to sit on the edge of the bed. Then the silent is cut with spoken words.]

Please come sit next to me, Serph.

[bufudine]

[There's a long pause, before Serph steps into Angelo's room and sits on the edge of the bed. But, notably, he puts a respectable amount of bed between Angelo and himself, and waits for Angelo to speak again.]

[beauchevalier]

[Angelo grabs one of his pillows and throws it at Serph since he doesn't approve of this distance between them. He'll have an expression of disapproval too.]

I said next to me, not a short distance away.

[bufudine]

[But he is next to you, Angelo. Serph even uses a hand to gesture between them, demonstrating that he's on the same side of the bed as Angelo.]

This is close enough.

[And when he says it's close enough, it's close enough.]

[beauchevalier]

[Nope, this will not do. Angelo crosses his arms still and remains quite annoyed.]

No it isn't, you need to sit closer.

[bufudine]

[Serph tilts his head.]

Why?

[beauchevalier]

[Angelo sighs and keeps his arms crossed.]

Because it's rude to sit so far away.

[bufudine]

[He's faintly amused, but Serph doesn't let that show on his face.]

Like throwing pillows?

[But he does reseat himself slightly closer. Slightly. Like, one butt length. So there's still some space between them.]

[beauchevalier]

[He can slightly feel that Serph may or may not be amused by this, yet he doesn't care.]

I have a very legitimate reason to throw pillows at you.

[However, when Serph complies with moving closer and he takes the opportunity to seat himself again nearer to Serph.]

[bufudine]

[Uh huh. Sure. But he glances at the quickly shortening distance between them.]

This is close enough.

[beauchevalier]

[Keeping the distance between them, there was a sigh escaping his lips before he moves no more.]

Why does it matter to you what's wrong with me?
