23 ♐ Video ♐ Casually ignore wound

[See Darkleer. See Darkleer without his glasses for once and his hair pulled back into a thick braid! See Darkleer also kind of bleeding somewhat from the arm.]

[Yeah that might be a problem. It seems he's on the beach and dress appropriately for the location, if not the weather. Tight swimming trunks cling to his legs, and what appears to be the bite mark of a shark is on one muscular arm. He doesn't seem much bothered by it- in fact, there's just the occasional wince as he pulls a tooth out. Just one more scar to add to what seems like a collection of them. Also noticeable would be a pendant that seems to be hanging around his throat... Hm.]

I've been meaning to ask this, but my schedule has been rather full up until now.

[Translation: I've been focusing on all my robots like a workaholic freak and trying to hide from weird romance problems.]

However, right now I have a bit of time while I'm working on something on the island. [In the water, more correctly, but details.] Would anyone be interested in learning basic medical skills? For example, how to assist someone who has drowned or how to stop a wound from bleeding.

It's better off to leave complete treatment to a more professional individual, such as our... esteemed head nurse, but skills such as these can help keep a situation from getting worse.

[There's a pause as he inspects his arm, now devoid of any shark teeth. Something seems to just *pop* out from his sylladex and he puts the modified omni-tool onto his good wrist. Don't mind him as he holds it over the bleeding wound and... wow that sure is some automatic healing going on. Technology is great, he loves technology.]

I will be on the island all day so feel free to simply locate me if you are interested. Speaking of the island... [A slight frown.] The pollen up here seems less severe than that down in the city.

Curious.

[The thing this guy used to heal his wound was already pretty interesting, but the dog? The dog is what really catches Bro's interest. It's a little beauty for sure. Whatever it is Darkleer's holding looks pretty neat too. He'd always been partial towards technological feats like that, but the only thing he'd ever managed to build for himself was his rocket board. Too many hobbies and responsibilities, not enough spare time, he supposed.

Once Darkleer speaks up, Bro's face eases into a wide grin.]

Sup. Nice dog. [The moment that last word leaves his mouth, he remembers something Lysunder said.] Or uh... should I say barkbeast?

[Man, if Bro made that dog, he'd keep it too. Whoever was supposed to get it as a gift, it's not worth it.]

Naw, I'm not. I've seen more than enough wounds to know how to deal with 'm. [Sooo not commenting on the CPR thing.] I was just interested in that thing you used on your arm.

[Bro notices the look of innocent surprise on Darkleer's face. Not something he expected from such a big, serious-looking dude, but that just goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover and all that shit.]

Seemed useful is like the understatement of the year. Where I'm from, there's people who'd kill to get a little trinket that can fix wounds right up.

Holy shit, that's a lotta uses. [He rubs a hand past the back of his head, thinking. The way he sees it, there's not a single device that diverse on Earth. It's more like something straight out of a sci-fi movie.]

What's it called?

[Part of Bro is wondering why these guys are called trolls. All the ones he's met so far are pretty damn polite. Well, except for that douche who started bitching about him not using his SFC right. That one was definitely a troll in all senses of the word.]

Man, don't worry. I got no tools with me to take it apart anyway.

[In fact, when he reaches out to take the omni-tool, he'll do it with extreme care. Breaking this thing would be a crime against nature- errr... technology.]

[He turns the omni-tool around in his hands a few times, smart enough not to test it by activating anything. There's no telling what it'd do to healthy skin and the fact that it could be programmed to be a weapon sure isn't helping.]

What's the power source?
stridercentric: (How interesting~)

[He will accept these mysterious details as fact! Mass Effect technology is badass.]

Huh. I wonder if there's any way to duplicate this thing.

That sounds like one hell of a challenge. Can't say I'm too familiar with the sorta things you can find the stores around here, but if you're outta luck, getting your hands on certain substitute parts could take years.

[With that, he'll hand the omni-tool back to Darkleer.]

[Bahhh, the Nostalgia Quarter. Bro's so bummed by the fact that things there aren't free. Maybe someday, he'll find a job here in Vatheon that he can do just by being himself, so he can watch the tokens roll in without having to do squat. He's just not sure what. He gets the feeling the market for puppet porn isn't too great around here.]

What kinda job you got that lets you afford all those spare parts?

You've got more than just that one? [He jerks a thumb at the dog. One of the last things he expected to find in an otherworldly underwater prison city is an abundance of robots.]

Animals, huh? Just bigger ones like dogs, or stuff like birds and rodents too?

[Don't mind Bro as he crouches down next to the dog for a closer look. Hot damn, this is some advanced stuff.]
stridercentric: (What the hell is a juju)

[It's a good thing Bro has no intention of touching the dog. If it were a cute chihuahua robot, then maybe, but not a hound like this one. He'll just observe it from a safe distance.

But wow, insect robots. It's gotta be the most frustrating little chore to build something teeny tiny like that. Unless they're ten times the size of real insects, in which case it'd be kind of eerie.]

Man... Must be a lotta technology in the Nostalgia Quarter that makes stuff from my own world look like ancient relics.

Huh... Makes me wonder if my world's got something that others don't. Or at least the best variation of it.
