For those of you who knew her, Cheria Barnes has returned home. Pascal and I are the only ones left from our world now...

[There's a good, lengthy pause as Hubert debates on saying more, but whatever he's thinking just happens to be a pile of negative things and upset-driven notions that he feels like he shouldn't bother sharing.]

If anyone has a burning need to bother me I'll be at work at my usual post.

[And that's the end of the broadcast, but true to his word he can be found in the amusement park, if anyone actually does go looking for him.]

[Nanaki actually never met Cheria, but from how Hubert talked about her she could tell that Cheria was a good friend to him. And even though it's just her going home, Nanaki can still tell that Hubert is hurting.

So forget bothering, Nanaki is going to go find Hubert and give him a hug.]

[Hubert wasn't expecting anyone to actually bother him. He had that tone of 'not really in the mood for conversation' when he'd put the message up. So when she finds him, he'll be leaning against the fence at the petting zoo, tossing out bits of animal feed to the animals there.

Having Nanaki come up and hug him gets a pretty good sputter out of him, though.]

[After a moment she'll pull away and step back half-a-step to give Hubert his space. She still looks concerned, though.]

[Doesn't sound it, though.]

[She is stating this like a fact, because she is sure of it.]

You wouldn't have made that message if you were fine.

It was the right thing to do. You're welcome, though.

She talked about you and her other friends from her home to me before, she seemed to care a lot about everyone.

That was her way. When we were younger, she was very ill and had a hard time keeping up with us, but after we reunited as adults she had taken to caring for everyone as if we were all her family.

I think she'll feel better being at home with everyone, it's also safer there I'm sure than this place.

*As Hubert goes around the park, he is eventually hugged from behind.*

[He tenses, and it takes him hearing Pascal's voice to realize who it is. He doesn't turn around though, tossing feed out for the animals at the petting zoo where he was hanging out.]

How are you holding up, Pascal?

[WELL. That answered that question. Owch. No, really, he didn't need his heart. He still doesn't turn around, but instinctively a hand does move over hers.]

[Well, Argilla wouldn't say it was a burning need. But hey, she's been there before; she's lost comrades and gained them again, and she knows what it feels like. Why wouldn't she have some kind words or advice to offer?

She doesn't really know if that'll be enough . . . but she may as well try anyway. What he's doing right seems like a good place to start.]

. . . Keeping busy is a good idea.

[She's making an effort, at least. That's something to be admired.]

[Of course the fact that it's yet another slow day in the amusement park isn't giving him a lot to do.]

[It is rather quiet from his end of the feed. He answered quickly. Based on all that and his rather bored/saddened tone of voice, she gathers it is probably not working very well.]

Will you be all right?

[It's not, but feeling listless and uninterested even in work isn't helping either.]

[It's actually bit hard to tell if he's even listening. But even if he isn't and is just saying that -- well, he's right. He will recover, eventually, and Argilla didn't even need him to say that to know it.

It's good to hear it from him, though.]

I could come visit.

[A pause, and she adds:]

I would rather not be a bother, though.
