[when the SFC turns on, there’s actually two people visible. One is Shiro, and he looks less than pleased. He has removed his coat at some point, and now Rin is wearing it. Rin certainly looks worse for wear. Whatever happened has left him with a mostly-bandaged arm, and several spots of skin that aren’t covered by the jacket are red and faintly blistered. He doesn’t look terribly happy either but he’s not frowning nearly as much as Shiro.

They're also up on the island, sitting on the beach.]

Good afternoon. We, ah, felt it was important to let you all know something-

[Rin cuts in before Shiro can fully get to his explanation]

Dad broke the ocean.

[Shiro sputters at that and is quick to protest.]

I did not break the ocean!

Yeah, okay, we both broke it. Well. I mean-- I dared Dad to bless the ocean and it kinda worked better than we were expectin’.

That doesn’t mean it's broken, it’s just a little holier than it was yesterday.

[Whoops they were supposed to be talking to the SFC, not each other. So Shiro turns his attention back to that.]

We just wanted to warn any residents who might be affected by holy water, you probably won’t want to go swimming for a day or two.

Still think it’s funny to say you broke it...

Rin's hair is demonic too. We were pulling out stands of it to test whether the water was blessed or not.

And he splashed some on himself?

I've blessed large bodies of water before, but even then it was never an entire lake or anything like that. We moved far enough down the shoreline that we should have been a good distance away from any blessed water.

He tripped and fell in, yes.

That's something I would expect from Black*Star. I guess you meet the same sorts of people in every world.

Ah, well, kids are clumsy. At least it was something fixable.

He was lucky, but people like that usually are.

He's lucky I was there too. A regular doctor might not have known how to treat holy water burns.

How do you treat them?

A special kind of burn cream, and some rest. The difficult part is that you have to get to it right away, or else it'll leave scars.

[Rin won't have to worry about scars, though.]

I'd like to get the recipe for that when you get back to the Villa.

There's no way if knowing what it might do to Kid or Maka.

I don't think they would be affected. From what I've heard of your world, they sound closer to exorcists. Your world and mine use the same term, even.

You didn't say anything about the weapons being demons.

It's a fairly common term for them.

...hmm. It might be worth looking into, then. I wouldn't want any of us exorcists leaving things laying around that might accidentally hurt them.

I don't think Kid would be harmed, since he's the son of god, not a demon, and he heals quickly.

Maka does have a grigori soul, which might provide some protection. We could get Marie to test and see if weapons burn.

...I just said you can take some of their hair to test it with. You don't have to hurt them to find out if they're weak to holy water.

Testing Marie's hair would still tell us if weapons burn.
