[when the SFC turns on, there’s actually two people visible. One is Shiro, and he looks less than pleased. He has removed his coat at some point, and now Rin is wearing it. Rin certainly looks worse for wear. Whatever happened has left him with a mostly-bandaged arm, and several spots of skin that aren’t covered by the jacket are red and faintly blistered. He doesn’t look terribly happy either but he’s not frowning nearly as much as Shiro.

They're also up on the island, sitting on the beach.]

Good afternoon. We, ah, felt it was important to let you all know something-

[Rin cuts in before Shiro can fully get to his explanation]

Dad broke the ocean.

[Shiro sputters at that and is quick to protest.]

I did not break the ocean!

Yeah, okay, we both broke it. Well. I mean-- I dared Dad to bless the ocean and it kinda worked better than we were expectin’.

That doesn’t mean it's broken, it’s just a little holier than it was yesterday.

[Whoops they were supposed to be talking to the SFC, not each other. So Shiro turns his attention back to that.]

We just wanted to warn any residents who might be affected by holy water, you probably won’t want to go swimming for a day or two.

Still think it’s funny to say you broke it...

[The feed shuts off just after Shiro smacks Rin on the back of his head.]

Actually, there is one thing. Think you could help me keep Stein busy for a couple days?

I'm sure I could find something that could keep his interest. Why?

I'm seriously concerned about him poking at Rin while Rin is healing. I'd like to avoid having a fist-fight with one of the few people I consider a friend, so distracting him is necessary.

Huh? He wouldn't hurt Rin, you know.

[ Though, awwww, it's nice that Stein has such good friends. ]

But I don't mind helping if you think that's best. A father knows what's best for his child, after all.

He wouldn't intentionally hurt Rin. The problem is that his definition of 'hurting' someone is way different than mine.

[Sorry, protective dad is protective. He saw what happened to that deer, he doesn't want that to happen to any person.]

I think he's interested in holy water, though. That might be enough to keep him occupied for a couple days.

I trust your judgement here, Shiro. [ She just apparently has a definition of 'hurt' somewhere a ways off as well. Her faith in Stein is unwavering on all counts. ] Though I've decided that you're going to owe me a favor!

[ Now is time to fear. ]

But until that we've got time for that, tell me if there's anything I need to know about that holy water of yours.

[He hasn't learned to fear Marie yet, but he will soon.]

It's effective against demons. When a demon touches it, it burns worse than the hottest flames, and because it's water it sticks to them, making the burns last even longer. It can cause permanent damage if it's not immediately removed.

I'm not sure if it affects anyone from your world yet. It's possible to test without hurting anyone, though.

[ Wait until he finds out the favor is 'take her out to dinner.' ]

Demons, huh...? We'll have to be careful in that case.

[ That could be problematic in the short run. ] Well, don't worry. You've put something new out in front of Stein. He'll have fun taking it apart, so much as he can.

[Oh. Well dinner he can do.]

Lucky for him I'm literally the best at what I do in my world. If he's that interested in exorcisms, I can provide him with a few things.

Though you and Liz are 'demon weapons' right? I was more worried it might affect you two.

[ He'll learn. Oh, he'll learn. ]

Yes, that's correct. If there's someone that's best qualified to help figure out how it affects us, I'd be the weapon for it.
