[when the SFC turns on, there’s actually two people visible. One is Shiro, and he looks less than pleased. He has removed his coat at some point, and now Rin is wearing it. Rin certainly looks worse for wear. Whatever happened has left him with a mostly-bandaged arm, and several spots of skin that aren’t covered by the jacket are red and faintly blistered. He doesn’t look terribly happy either but he’s not frowning nearly as much as Shiro.

They're also up on the island, sitting on the beach.]

Good afternoon. We, ah, felt it was important to let you all know something-

[Rin cuts in before Shiro can fully get to his explanation]

Dad broke the ocean.

[Shiro sputters at that and is quick to protest.]

I did not break the ocean!

Yeah, okay, we both broke it. Well. I mean-- I dared Dad to bless the ocean and it kinda worked better than we were expectin’.

That doesn’t mean it's broken, it’s just a little holier than it was yesterday.

[Whoops they were supposed to be talking to the SFC, not each other. So Shiro turns his attention back to that.]

We just wanted to warn any residents who might be affected by holy water, you probably won’t want to go swimming for a day or two.

Still think it’s funny to say you broke it...

[The feed shuts off just after Shiro smacks Rin on the back of his head.]

Maybe you should try talking with it more. It works with plants, right? You don't talk with it enough, so it hates you and ruins your life.

I suppose that could work. But it might be too late for me, my hair seems to be running away screaming nowadays.

[He is grinning so much right now. This amused him way more than it should have.]

Yep, just arrived. You can call me Marceline. What about you, ocean breaker?

Shiro is fine.

[He's kind of liking that title. 'Ocean breaker' sounds pretty hardcore.]

Well, it's not as boring as it could be... [Hair flip!] Feeling kind of cramped, gotta say. At least there's enough interesting people to make up for it.

If it feels cramped, you can always go up on the island.

[She's going anyway but still.]

Just avoid the water! There's a jungle too.

Hmmmm Maybe I'll think about it. At the least, maybe that will get this friend of mine out.

Yeah- someone I haven't seen in a long time.

[Her voice didn't get softer don't be dumb]

I just know that if I don't intervene, he'll be stuck as a hermit forever, turning into a popsicle in a corner of the apartment.

[paladaddy]

Ha! Is that so?

[He thinks she is talking figuratively, not literally.]

If you want, there's always a meet and greet at the beginning of each month. You could drag him to that, I bet the two of you would meet a lot of new people there.

That's actually how we realized we were here together! Definitely a shock to see him- well, at all, I guess. There weren't exactly a lot of people around when we were with each other before.

Maybe the free food lured him out.

[paladaddy]

That could be. He does know all the food here is free, right?

[redboots]

Well, he's a pretty smart guy sometimes, so you'd hope so! Maybe I'll tell him that he's in debt now for all the food he hasn't paid for.

Be careful with that, it might scare him away.

He's faced worse, don't worry.

Simon. You'll know him when you see him, he looks like a bit of a nerd.
