[Dualscar is soaking wet, his hair slicked back by water and wearing no shirt. His fins are quite comfortable, though, settled against the sides of his face in a manner that anyone who knows sea trolls would see means he's content and not agitated.]

So all a this is pretty fuckin' inconvvenient to evveryone. I thought I'd throww it out there that if anyone's got somethin' they need recovvered from their homes, I could make myself and my creww avvailable.

A course you can. But you'vve got to wwear one a Zelda's shirts in case you get dunked under the wwater. [he's still not sure how strong a swimmer you are, Signless!]

Of course I will. No more underwater adventures for me without it.

[He smiles] Wwell, good. You knoww it's important to me to keep you safe.

Why, Dualscar, I didn't know you cared!

[He's teasing. He hasn't forgotten the week without their memories where they spent the whole time trying to kill each other.]

You knoww I do! [He knows Signless is teasing, but he still feels a bit bad about trying to kill Signless]

I know, I know. It's fine.

[Grin.]

So what do you need me to do, Captain?

Meet me at the elevvator. Wwe'vve got to go rescue a little pouncebeast. [That'll appeal to Signless, he figures]

[Dualscar figures right.]

Oh no, did it get left behind? Okay, I'll be at the elevator in just a few minutes!

[True to his word, Sufferer shows up at the elevator, his horns shrunk back to their usual size and wearing a Zora tunic under his cloak. That fine ass is still on display, though.]

[Dualscar's waiting, wearing his usual swim clothing - no armour, just a comfortable pair of pants and a loose shirt. He smiles faintly and puts his arm lightly around Signless' shoulders, giving him a squeeze]

Jade's left a black pouncebeast behind, an asked me to go get it. You're ready?

[Sufferer smiles up at his moirail, and wraps an arm around Dualscar's waist to squeeze him back, but when he speaks it's all business.]

Do you know the pouncebeast's name and where it was last seen?

Uh, its name? No. I knoww it wwas lost near the coral, though.

[Dang, maybe he should have asked for more details. He steps into the elevator, though, drawing Signless with him]

[Sufferer lets himself get tugged along.]

Well, that's a start, at least. Don't worry; I'm pretty good with pouncebeasts.

They don't tend to like me. [He grins happily, thinking of Disciple] Wwater and pouncebeasts don't mix, I think.

Not really, no.

[Okay, the fact that his moirail and his matesprit are hatepailing each other still makes Sufferer a little uneasy, and he grows quiet.]

[Dualscar falls silent awkwardly for a moment, then gives Signless a squeeze]

One a these days wwe need to talk about that, you knoww. It's practically my duty as your moirail.

I know.

[It's a conversation he's not really looking forward to, although he smiles up at Dualscar.]

That's exactly your duty as my moirail. But let's find the lost pouncebeast first, all right?

[He smiles in return, though it's a little muted.]

A course. Let's do that before the thing drowwns.

[The doors open onto the flooded bubble and he leads the way towards the plaza]

[Sufferer follows, picking his way through the water with much less confidence than Dualscar.]

Kittyyyyyy... here, kitty kitty...

[Dualscar keeps an eye on Signless. Though they've gone swimming together many times, a flooded city is somewhat treacherous in different ways. For example, there is debris floating in the water, and when you're walking you never know what you're going to step on.

He looks around as they reach the plaza, considering his options. He does have a lot of experience with hunting, but usually he kills instead of capturing.]

Wwhen you're huntin' wwild pouncebeasts, you gotta be quiet. Do you think it'll come wwhen you call?

[Sufferer is being careful! The water is just a lot deeper on him than it is on Dualscar!]

Right, but this isn't a wild pouncebeast. It's a pet, so it's probably afraid and wants to be around people again.

Kitty kitty!

[He doesn't say it, but he's got a sneaking suspicion that Dualscar's smell will lure the pouncebeast out; rumor has it that seatrolls smell like cat treats.]

Oh, right.

[That is a problem. He reaches out and lifts Signless over a bit of coral that's forming the edge of a lane in the plaza, then raises his own voice]

Come'ere pouncebeast!

[There may be a wet, shivering creature standing high on Lamaufo, mewing piteously]

[Fortunately, Sufferer hears that plaintive crying, and looks up at the coral.]

There it is!

[He points, then starts slogging through the water to get closer.]

We just have to find a way to get it down.

[He reaches the coral a little faster and cranes his neck to look up]

Climbing's probably not gonna happen... Noww wwhat?

Speak for yourself.

[Sufferer eyes the coral, takes a step back, and then flings himself at it. He tries to scramble up the side of the coral, searching out little handholds and places to stick his booted feet. It's not graceful, but it's relatively effective.]
