[Percy looks tired. He's in his pajamas and drinking milk at the counter in his kitchen.]

Hey, people of Vatheon. I figure it's about time I introduced myself on here. So far I've met some really cool people, and it's helping me get my bearings in this strange new place.

[He takes a swig of the milk, then wipes away a milk mustache with his sleeve. So classy.]

So anyway. I'm Percy Jackson. Been here a couple weeks now.

[His smile fades.]

I haven't been sleeping well. Anyone have any tips?

No idea. Some hick from West Virginia. Mr. D had been thrown down by Typhon somewhere around there and in his weakened state could only manifest himself at some kind of party.

The way you said it, I thought maybe I was supposed to know. Thought maybe he was someone at camp I didn't meet.

Nah. Making a joke that...only i would get actually.

Actually, I wonder what Bobby Earl's life is like. Some random dude in the middle of nowhere West Virginia.

[He laughs] I'm sure Mr D would get it.

Probably the same as any other mortal. Normal and with less monsters to deal with.

[Percy laughs too.] Yes. Yes he would. Although he'd probably pretend not to remember.

Sounds kinda nice, huh.

Yeah, but I think this place is as close as we're ever going to get to normal. Not that there's anything normal about this place.

Yeah. I was thinking. You and Annabeth misread the name of this place as "vacation". Maybe that's how we should think of it. A vacation from normal life.

I mean, as long as we ignore the fact that we're being experimented on.

We might as well make the best of it, right?

Yeah, I prefer not to think about that part of it.

Yeah. I think I need a hobby or something.

So let's not. At least not right now. That doesn't really help with the whole trouble sleeping thing, either.
