[Audio] ♉ Summoner: Do you sensei connection between us?

So uh, don't get me wrong, I'm pretty amazing with my hands, if you'd like a demonstration I'll be happy to give it, but- Heh well, uhh... it's been a while since I brushed up on my swordsmanship.

Think any of you would be cool with giving a troll a hand to hand polishing up? Normally I lean towards the more heavy duty, but something with a little more speed, accuracy, and less weight wouldn't be too bad, I just need to brush up.

[Yeah, focus on the matter at hand with that kinda serious look on your face. Summoner can't help his curled lip smile seeing it.]

Hopefully, it's just been some time, heh, and it's a lot better to have another body to practice with- another set of hands. [A shrug, glancing down a little.] Ah- yeah, you'd think I'd remember, been at this and similar for sweeps now.

[Fancy that, Summoner's got rather tightly wound muscles as well, thinner but hard and flexible. His upper body, neck, and shoulders are larger though, used to handling his horns for so long and even using them to fight. Besides that, his upper body strength is noticeably more apparent than his lower body strength, not a lot of leg work in the flying world.]

[Ky's answering smile is purely formal, and accompanied by a look of some confusion, before he gets back to business.]

I tend to fight with magic in combination to my sword, but I can focus purely on swordplay, if you would prefer that.

Might be better, but uh, what do you mean by magic? We could let things get a little heavier once we get a bit moe familiar? [Magic? What does that mean really.... Magic, Summoner has found, can be a heck of a lot of things.]

If you'd like to work up to it, that seems logical.

I have lightning magic, myself.

Have- lightning? [Wha? Like... when people shoot fire but lightning? Summoner's still not exactly used to all these strange powers yet, open minded, just not used to, despite how long he's been here. But he guesses his ability could be just as strange to some.]

Yes. Lightning can be a difficult element, but I have control over it. I can hold it back completely, if you'd prefer.

[And that's something that took a lot of work, but a while ago.]

Well, I won't be bombarding you with birds either, so let's uh, keep the powers back, just for starters, that okay?

Just interested on working with my hand and foot work, well be sure to start some sparks with that alone~

Your magic involves birds? I'd be interested to learn more about it, at some point.

And of course. Whenever you'd like to do this. My schedule is fairly flexible.

[Which is to say that Ky spends way too much time working, but at any given moment he could be working on physical improvement instead.]

Not just birds- hm? Yeah sure, be happy to demonstrate my wild side for you anytime~

All right, see you island side uh- in an hour or so ya think?

An hour would be fine.

[Ky is almost painstakingly precise with that, but he's prepared to wait for Summoner. He can always run through some routines to additionallly warm up, if there's waiting to be done.]

[Summoner's around, but doesn't find Ky right away. He's a little tired, a little worn here and there, but for the most part he's ready to go. He found the other easily, eyes everywhere, and whenever Ky finds himself wandering the island nearby the entrance, he'll come across a figure leaned against a tree, cleaning what looks to be a short lance.]

On the dot, you always like that? [A smile, glancing up.]

[Ky inclines his head, Fuuraiken light in his hand for all of the apparent strength of the sword.]

I do endeavour not to force other people to wait for me. [And there's his painstaking earnestness and slight social awkwardness, out in full force.]

It only seems polite.

Looks like you, ya, pretty face, fair hair. [A chuckle.] Never gonna get used to blonde. [Shrugs, pushing himself off the tree and leaning his lance over a shoulder, wings shifting.]

Ah heh, well I was willing to wait for you, so it wasn't too much of a problem, thanks for being so quick though.

[Ky stands his ground, but he feels like he might want to take a step back, as he shakes his head and his cheeks flare red.]

I...I think we should concentrate on the practice bout, sir.

[Awwwwwwwwww. Summoner laughs, showing some fangs as he smiles.]

Took you off guard? Try not to let it happen again, eh? [Wink.]

There's-- we're--!

Let's just keep this professional.

[Ky shifts into a fighting position, Fuuraiken ready, but he won't do the first attack. Not against an ally.]

[Laughing still, a sunny smile on his face before he swings his lance and feels the weight of it.]

This is me being professional.

[Said as he lunges forward, his wings spreading, giving his thrust forward more lift as he makes a piercing attack at Ky's left side.]

[That's more like it, and Ky lets the words pass as he focuses on the fight. It takes more energy not to light the lightning flow through Fuuraiken, but then control is the hardest part of lightning, and Ky's had plenty of time to practice that.

He twists and blocks, the lance an unusual thing to fight against a sword, but Ky's fought against people who use anchors and yoyo's, and he knows how to defend his own space, how to push the attack back and reciprocate with an assault of his own.]

[Anchors and yoyos, right, well it's good to be versatile, right? Bound to be a lance sooner or later.]

[Summoner slides back a bit, lance slanted infront of him to block Ky's attack. He laughs, grinning wide and tilting his head down a little. He's tempted to swing and hit Ky with his horn, but this is a duel, not some dirty fight behind enemy lines, so he refrains. Just weapon to weapon, they can open pandora up later.]

Got some shove in ya, good to know, come on, baby, hit harder. [Laughing as he steps back, swinging his arm away and darting forward again. His first attack is a swing towards Ky's legs, aiming to get him off balance, and he follows with a piercing blow aimed towards his shoulder.]

[This is the stage in the fight where Ky's going to tune out what Summoner is saying in favor of focusing on his attack, on blocking Summoner's weapon and coming up with counter-attacks.

(And sticking to weapon to weapon is good, particularly if he doesn't want Ky to escalate to lightning.)

Ky dances backwards from the attack to his legs, which while not literal dancing shares a lot in common with it. He's nothing if not light on his feet, and he is more, can shift his sword to block the attack to his shoulder before swinging around, aiming simply for the center of Summoner's body.]

[Might be a good idea. All those saying and move names can get really distracting if you let 'em.]

Whoooa hoho there- [A gasp, followed by a laugh as he quickly dodges the torso attack and makes a new on of his own, swinging his lance at Ky's side and following it with a similar attack to Ky's- straight for his torso. But he doesn't fully pierce forward, it's a fake out attack that he pulls back fast to instead follow with a second swipe aimed at Ky's other side.]

[Ky's not willing to be hit by any attack, which is why when his block fails because Summoner's not really there he dances further out of the way, lunging to the side to skitter more out of the way, blade coming up to block and counter-attack as an after-thought.]

[The block is met with another hard hit from Summoner's lance, attacking at the weapon directly with a beat parry into order to smash it away and open Ky up for another torso attack.]

[Ky dances back some more, swallowing the urge to block with lightning and leaving himself vulnerable.]

[More blocking and dancing around, is this guy just another Summoner? Sheesh! The SUmmoner chuckles, but doesn't let up, he makes another strike at Ky's torso, and another, forcing him back further if Ky keeps defending in that way.]
