I'd say this is for the sake of science or something along those lines, but since it's truth week, I doubt it'd let me say that. So, I'm just going to say that this is me exploiting the hell out of this curse by asking this question publicly.

Basically, she wants to rise up and take back the earth. Destroy all of humanity and the gods. So they decided the best way to stop that was sending 7 teenagers on a warship with a blood-thirsty satyr that loves watching mixed-martial arts and changing the Pokémon theme song to "Gotta kill 'em all," as their chaperone. I think my life might be an after school special.

It's a game that takes real life roleplaying to an entirely too realistic level. Complicated as shit, too, but the point of the game is to create a new universe. At least, that's what we think. In order to create it, though, our home world has to be destroyed. So, where I'm from, Earth is nothing more than a desolate wasteland. All Players get titles when they enter the game, and Dirk's our Prince of Heart.

Pretty much anything is better than a soap opera.

It's even crazier when you're a Time Player. I was the Knight of Time until I went and prototyped myself into a sprite. It was my job to keep the time loops stable when I was the alpha Dave. Now, I'm just a friendly NPC guide for him.

I'll take your word on that. I'm guessing that stuff has to do with why you're a third wheel?

See, there are times in which the main or alpha timeline branches off into a beta or doomed timeline. When that happens, usually it results in the Players being in limbo or for all of them dying. I was part of the limbo doomed timeline, and I went back to correct the mistake. The catch is that correcting it means two things. One, the alpha timeline people get a spare Dave, and two, my timeline gets completely erased for correcting the mistake. I'm the only one alive from that, and even then I dunno how long that'll last. Doomed people have a habit of dying at one point or another.

Wow. That really sucks, bro. I'm not gonna say your situation is better or worse than mine 'cause I don't know the half of it. But, dude.

I would say that we both have heavy shit to carry on our shoulders. Vatheon makes things a little better since there aren't any real expectations from the world at large.

Yeah, compared to life back home, this place is kind of a vacation. But that's not saying much.

Yeaaah, not really. [He shrugs.] Well, I don't have much room to complain. I get to see human faces that aren't just Jade and John's. It's very refreshing.

I worked with a Jade back when repairing the coral. That the same one, or is it a common name around this place?

She's the only Jade I know of. Did she have dog ears?

John's her brother. The last person in our group of four is Rose Lalonde, Dave's sister.

That's cool. So does John have dog ears, too? Is that like a family trait?

Nah, John's normal. Well, as normal as a guy can get when you become a wind god. Jade's only got the dog ears because of shenanigans involving her sprite and dreamself.

Well, that ruins my chances of spotting him by his ears.

He wears all blue with a ridiculously long hood. I actually have no idea how he avoids strangling himself in his sleep it's so long.

That's some intense dedication to the color blue. He even sleeps in the hood?

[Not that he can say too much as he wears pretty much the same thing every day. Orange camp t-shirt, long sleeved work shirt, suspenders, brown pants, work boots and his tool belt. But he doesn't usually sleep in that.]

They're magic god PJ's, man, he doesn't even need to wash 'em. They clean themselves.

[Davesprite doesn't even know, man. Magic is the only explanation to it.]

Weird but cool. Kinda wish my clothes could do that.

I know, right? Granted, the only thing I've got on him is that the only thing I need is sleep. Everything else is pretty much optional just 'cause I'm a sprite. I guess it's so that the game doesn't kill us by starvation and dehydration when there's guiding to be done.

That's convenient. Can you still eat even though you don't have to?

Oh, yeah, definitely. It's just something optional. Where the hell it all goes after being digested, I neither know nor care to find out.
