She was thinking about what she had been seeing in the past day. people asking questions and people seemingly answering, usually when she expected people to knot answer. What made it more amusing was the fact that people reacted afterwards. This seemed like a best idea as any to find out a little something, something.]

I do hope that everyone is okay, I've noticed that people are unable to lie, so I thought that I might as well ask a couple of very important questions.

[Kufufufufufu~ Now what to ask?]

Question one. Do your or did you ever have a boyfriend or girlfriend, either here or back home? If so what was or is it like?

Question two. If you've never had a partner, is there someone you have your eye on? Don't worry, I won't tell a soul. [Oh no, but stuff like this would be wonderful for future doujinshis, of course. Or she just wants to know and fangirl over it, which ever comes first of course.]

What an inappropriate question to ask! It is none of your business if I have had four matesprits, three kismesises, one moirail, and been in numerous ausptices in my life, all who I have enjoyed being with on some level.

Unlike most humans, trolls have four different kinds of romance, all of which are important to our society. They can be categorized as either red and black romance, which explains the emotions involved, or as concupiscent and conciliatory, which would be the purpose.

Matesprits and moirails fall into the red category, with kismesises and auspitices in the black. For concupiscent, it is matesprits and kismesises, and conciliatory would be moirails and auspitices.

A matesprit seems to be the closest to human romance. You pity their failures and love them regardless. A moirail is your balance, someone you protect either through battle or through helping them shift through their emotions. It involves a great amount of trust. Kismesises are individuals you hate and wish to see put down a step or hundred. The hatred involved forges both of you into being better trolls- I mean, individuals. [Even if no one else besides trolls seems to get kismesisitude.] They are your best rival. However, sometimes ill placed feelings of hatred can ruin things, especially if it is of the wrong sort, and an auspitice will step in as a third party to calm feelings down and stop them from doing something foolish- such as killing one another or getting into a relationship when it would be a bad idea to do so.

Is that clear enough?

[Renge is just gonna do her best and try and understand. One is the best way to put it a romance, or love. The kind she knows full well. One is pretty much like one would call enemies, or close to it, one is more a friendship and the last is a very neutral party. At least, that is what she figured from listening in.]

I can't say I understand fully, but I get the basic ideas.

I think you might be interested in speaking to my daughter, then. Nepeta is quite fond of romance and seeing how potential couples might work out herself, and she usually has a good nose for things.
