accidental video | backdate: May 22nd
[Video comes on to a hand smacking the top of the SFC several times, making the feed look distorted given that it keeps making things blur, re-focus, and blur again. Eventually the whole thing goes falling off whatever it's laying on, giving a crooked view of the side of a bed, some blankets, and some one laying on said bed. Only a fluff of blond hair under a thick comforter gives any indication as to who it is.
They move finally, sitting up, blinking very blearily, and staring around until their gaze lands on the SFC.
Ioder picks it up, stares for a long moment before letting out a tremendously exasperated sigh.]
Another coma...
[He's about to ask something to the network, but realizes--
this isn't his house. In fact it's one of the huts on the island, even though the bubble was cracked and fixed during the time he was out.]
... ah-...
Where... am I... ?
Dhaos? Duke... ?
... hello?

Dhaos? Duke... ?
... hello?

No, really... they're very important to me. It means a lot that you saved them.
no subject
[ Duke's shrug indicated its an important thing. Books are good. ]

He shrugs again. Ioder, he waterproofed the library. Why wouldn't he have proofed the books in their home?
But now he's also out of things to say. ]
... Food?
no subject
... oh. Yes, please. I'm starving, I feel like I could eat my weight in food--
... why... did I admit something like that? I sound so barbaric when I say it like that.
no subject
[ Duke usually tries to stay truthful but for omission things. ]
no subject
[Ioder doesn't mind it, really. Sure he might come off sounding more crude than he would normally like himself to sound, but really it's... mild in comparison to a lot of other curses.]
no subject
[ Give him a moment.
And by what Duke considers 'something simple' ends up being oatmeal with apple bits in it. Ten minutes or so. ]
no subject
[Ioder takes it, and noms happily for a few minutes.]
So are you affected?
no subject
Do best to avoid outright falsehoods in the first place.
[ Yes. ]
no subject
no subject
[ A bit of a shrug. Because telling people often didn't result in anything positive. That, and people ought to figure out their own answers. :T ]
no subject
Then tell me something truthfully.
no subject
....
[ This is a confused look at Ioder. For trying to make use of the curse, you left your instructions incredibly vague. ]
'Something'.
[ Only Ioder would probably get upset at him again, and- ]
When I gave Lowell Dein Nomos, it was because he would not let me pass and remove the problem the unstable Child of the Full Moon.
no subject
[At least it got a laugh? A dry one, but still.]
... did you really believe Estellise was the problem? Or that it was just her power that needed to be dealt with?
no subject
[ Oops there is clearly more irritation at Alexei than anything he felt for needing to remove Estelle.
Duke doesn't seem sure why he chose that particular word. Oh well. ]
no subject
But at least your intentions were noble in some aspect. I can't hold that against you.
no subject
I wish I had not aided him, in the Great War. That, or that I did not allow Brave Vesperia to try to clear the mess that was Zaude.
[ He thinks he could have made it through to Alexei faster. ]
... What-ifs...
[ Then he was grumpy at himself for the ideas- ]
no subject
Neither of them are innocent, even if Ioder looks as though he should be.]
They're painful, just as much as they are useless. But it's nearly impossible not to dwell on them.
no subject
Which is probably why he points to Ioder's bowl abruptly. ]
Done, or want more?
no subject
[Ioder hands the bowl off, distracted, and quietly wondering if it would even be worth bringing up what happened last month.]
no subject
He peeks back in when he's done. Ioder need anything or can Duke wander off now. ]
no subject
Mn... I sleep for a month and yet I still feel exhausted.
