[ Have one demigoddess daughter of Athena, Vatheon.

She's a little shaken up after her first curse week because she's not one to open up to people too quickly, even at the best of times. Her strategic warrior mind says that is a nono. However, the tell-no-lies curse had quickly put an end to that.

And how. This last week she has given away her demigoddess heritage (another nono), her thoughts on the attractiveness of others (boyfriend equals a nono here too), her night-time activities with said boyfriend (BIG NONO) and what colour panties she is wearing (…does she even have to say it?).

As a result, this post will be short, sharp and to the point. In the name of ~~science~~ research. ]

Hey bubble. I notice that the items in Nostalgia Nook actually cost something when everything else round here is free. Even housing and such. Any idea why?

[ She won’t mention the experiments that the scientists are doing on the captives here in her initial post as they are monitoring the network, but she strongly suspects the two topics are linked. She’s keen to talk about them if she gets a more secure line of communication though. ]

[ She's actually managed to successfully avoid him since their argument during the curse. Both of them have been pretty busy. ]

Have you heard anything about it from other people?

Yeah. Hey. [Awkward much?]

Nah, I didn't think to ask anyone about it.

[ Yep pretty dam(n) awkward. She taps her fingers without realising and looks off to the side, then down at her hands. ] Sooo. How've you been?

[ Nodding ] Yeah same. Figured I'd ask the network about it. I'm still wondering if it has something to do with that whole thing about harvesting our emotions.

[Does he answer honestly, or does he make a joke? It takes him a few moments to decide, which is long enough to tip off that he's not being honest.] Everything's been peachy. [He smiles (awkwardly) and gives a thumbs up.] You?

It might. [He shrugs.]

[ It doesn't take talent for reading people to realise that Leo's not being honest. Annabeth can't help but refer to what happened between them though. She's curious about how other people dealt with this. For Reasons. ]

Yeah? No other problems with the curse?

[No, it really doesn't. But gold star to Annabeth anyway.]

[Time to play it cool.] Nope. No other problems.

[ This time it does take a little more work but she's not Wisdom's Daughter for nothing. ]

You sure about that? [ Her smile has a little twist in it. ]

Positive. Nothing but good times were had the rest of the week.

[Never mind the fact that there's plenty she could have seen that as not problem-free. He hadn't bothered to make any of his conversations private. Something he wished he'd had the forethought to do.]

[ Smiling a knowing smile ] I don't believe that for a second Leo Valdez.

[ Annabeth feels really weird about the way you can eavesdrop on network conversations. It's just not honourable so she tries not to do it, or quickly closes out if things sound like they're getting personal. ]

Then don't believe it. [He's not gonna give in that easily.]

Fine. [ She shrugs. If he's not going to give in then she's not going to push it. Their argument is still too fresh and they're not close enough for her to offer to listen as a friend. ]

[For a moment he looks visibly relieved that she's not pushing it.]

But since you brought it up... Sorry about the stuff I said to you during the curse.

[ For a moment, Annabeth wonders if their conversation is over. But then Leo's talking again. ]

Ah. It's cool, I guess. I'm... sorry I scare you?

[ She pretty philosophical about it. She knows she's not the world's most likeable person and she doesn't mind. But somehow Leo's opinion of her is important. ]

It's not like you scare me all the time. Just... you know... some of the time you can be pretty scary. Like when you're mad.

Yeah? Well that's something. At least I usually have reasons for being scary?

Yeah. Usually a good reason. [Nervous laugh.]

[ She lets out a small laugh. ] Usually. Like when, you know, my boyfriend's been stolen by a crazy goddess.

I'd say that's a good reason. But it was a bad first impression.

[ If it'd been someone else she would've teased Leo, but it happens to be her and Percy he heard having sex, not someone unrelated. ]

[He looks mortified when she laughs at him.]
