[Video] The Wheel Keeps on Turning.

[ This time the announcement about Riku's departure is intentional. Sora's up on the island sitting on the beach. The sun is setting. He's had plenty of time since this morning to think about it, and he's actually able to smile a little at the camera. ]

Hey everyone, I just wanted you guys to know Riku went home again.

[ He forces the smile to stay on his face, acting as if everything's okay. He's sort of getting used to this by now, but that doesn't mean it doesn't still hurt. ]

Kairi, if you didn't know yet, I'm sorry.

[ He actually seems a little sadder at that. He ends the transmission there without another word. Really there's nothing else to say. ]

[How many times has Riku left now? Either way, this can't be easy for Sora. Axel's lost his best friend here on more than one occasion, too, so he understands.

Well... he can try to make light of this. Somehow.]

... Where are you at?

[ Three, at least by this version of Sora's count. ]

Hey, Axel. I'm up on the island, near ----.

[ He has a feeling Axel's going to show up, which is fine, he doesn't mind. ]

Don't move, then, got it?

[Because yeah, he is gonna go up there. Just you wait.]

[ Sora nodded. ]

Sure, okay.

[ He'll be waiting, Axel. ]

[Axel shows up a few minutes later through a Corridor of Darkness not too far away from where Sora is up on the island. After he spots him he makes his way over... then shoves this in Sora's hands. Here take it it's awesome.

But don't worry. Axel has a Sea-Salt ice cream pop for himself.]

Yo.

[ Sora blinks in surprise at the sudden appearance of the sundae. He looks up at Axel only slightly confused. ]

What's this for?

[ Though he could guess it was because he was feeling bad, ice cream as comfort food never really equated in his head for him. There's a first time for everything and Sora isn't going to complain. Actually he should hurry up and eat it before it became soup. ]

Just eat it.

[He wants to help you feel better and ice cream usually helps make things better! Right? Right.]

[ A small smile tugs at the corners of Sora's lips. He takes the spoon and starts eating the ice cream without another word. ]

It's good.

Is it?

I mean- 'course it is. Still, I bet nothing could really beat the usual.

[As he says it he holds his ice cream up and grins like the dork he is]

[ Sora laughed lightly. ]

So you didn't even know if I'd like it?

[ It was as pretty good choice though. Sora certainly wasn't going to complain. ]

I kind of had a feeling you would.

[Shrug]

I'm best friends with your Nobody, aren't I?

[ Sora's brow creased a bit. ]

He's not a Nobody.

[ Though by technicality that was exactly what Roxas was, Sora just couldn't think of Roxas like that. ]

He's my brother.

[ He wasn't mad or anything about the comment. He didn't see Axel as a Nobody either. He was Sora's friend. ]

[Axel takes a bite of his ice cream then nearly chokes when he hears that. COUGH. Uh, hang on.]

B-brother?

[ Sora arches an eyebrow the look on his face smoothing out to one of amusement. ]

Didn't Roxas tell you?

[ He took a few bites of his ice cream, both to organize his thoughts and to make sure it was eaten before it melted and became soup. ]

I don't think of Roxas like a Nobody, I know that's what he is but...It doesn't feel right calling him that, so he's my brother.

[ Sora was smiling faintly. ]

We're still part of each other's heart, but it's deeper than that.

[But ice cream soup is awesome, bro.

Axel finally stops choking and once he's settled he listens... Well. It makes sense. And when he really thinks about it... thinking of Lea as just his Other seems too insignificant.]

I see.

[Turning away, he watches the sun as it slowly starts to set over the horizon.]

... Heh. I guess you two really are like brothers pretty much, aren't you?

[ Sora nodded and the smile brightened a bit. ]

Yup! We tell each other everything.

[ And Sora did mean everything. ]

Heh... yeah. I kinda figured that.

[Seeing as Sora approached him that one time about the whole Roxas ordeal.]

But, uh. It's nice to see you guys getting along at least.

[Especially since the last time he saw Roxas, the kid hadn't been too keen on Sora at all.]

[ Well it hadn't started out easy that was for sure, but being able to stand in each other's presence did help things. ]

Yeah, I'm really glad we can be here together.

[ Sora sighed softly as he took a few more bites of ice cream. ]

If only for that, I don't really want t leave.

[ Even if Riku was gone, there was always the chance he could come back. If Sora went home he could never see Roxas again, or Axel. ]

[Axel nods at that. Considering that there's nothing for him to return to back in their World- He can't really leave here. And he doesn't want to.]

Yeah. Neither do I.

[He used to think differently when he first arrived here, but now-]

... But at least you'd have something to go home to.

[ Sora looked over sadly. He knew that, but it wasn't something he wanted to really think about either. ]

Axel...

[ It was a sad thought, a really sad thought. ]

...

[ What was he supposed to say? Sora wished that last fight hadn't ended the way it had. Maybe if he'd been stronger then he would have been able to handle it on his own and Axel wouldn't have had to do what he did. ]

[At the last second he realizes that he shouldn't have mentioned that at all. Rubbing his neck, he manages a grin.]

H-heh. Sorry. That... probably wasn't the best thing to say.

It's okay...it's not your fault.

[ Sora didn't only blamed himself a little for it, but there wasn't really anything Sora could do about it now either. ]

We just have to make the most of the time we do have here, right?

[ He tried for his own smile. ]

[He smirks a little more at that.]

Yeah.

[Here, have a hair ruffle, Sora.]

Hey!

[ Sora tries to duck out of the hands way without getting ice cream over himself. ]

[Ruffle ruffle ruffle!]
