[Video] The Wheel Keeps on Turning.

[ This time the announcement about Riku's departure is intentional. Sora's up on the island sitting on the beach. The sun is setting. He's had plenty of time since this morning to think about it, and he's actually able to smile a little at the camera. ]

Hey everyone, I just wanted you guys to know Riku went home again.

[ He forces the smile to stay on his face, acting as if everything's okay. He's sort of getting used to this by now, but that doesn't mean it doesn't still hurt. ]

Kairi, if you didn't know yet, I'm sorry.

[ He actually seems a little sadder at that. He ends the transmission there without another word. Really there's nothing else to say. ]

So. Someone supremely powerful and so difficult to beat, even with the two of you working together... What makes you think any of us were so suicidal as to try and attack him upfront?

[ Sora frowned. ]

Maybe it's just because you didn't want to.

It's called being brave and doing what's right. Even if it's foolish sometimes you have to try for what's right.

[ As strong as most of them had been when Sora fought them, he had no doubt that together they could have stopped Xemnas. ]

Foolishness gets you killed or, worse, turned into a Dusk. Nobodies may not possess hearts, but we do possess a desire to not die. Half the Organization would not have gone along with it, others would be indifferent, others could not be trusted, and Demyx was a coward.

[Basically, fuck his coworkers is what he's saying here.]

[With how much he- how much Isa and Lea had been so nosy, how couldn't they have known that something strange was going on in the castle, with the King and the apprentices? Just not enough to have done anything worthwhile..]

[ Sora was proof enough of that. He was still alive even if it had been considered foolish. His eyes narrow a bit at the coward comment. Back in the Underworld he might have said the same thing, but now that Demyx is his friend it just irritates Sora all the more. ]

Demyx isn't a coward.

[ He'd fought for the Organization still hadn't he? Even if he'd died doing it, Saix had too. ]

Then why are you blaming me for this? You should be blaming him. He's the one who turned you into what you are and he would have done a lot worse! You're the one who protected him, maybe you should have thought about your choices first.

In that particular case, for us, it would have been. [And just a scoff at the comment about Demyx. Sorry, Sora, he's had to deal with too much of his ridiculousness to play nice.]

[It's the first time he's ever told anyone his true thoughts regarding Xemnas, outside of Axel. There wasn't anyone he could have spoken to, and no one he would have wanted to. To do what had to be done, they had to think of him as nothing more than a dedicated lacky, and, well... It had worked, hadn't it? The rest of the Organization seeing him as nothing but the Superior's dog, and outside their ranks as well.]

You are an outsider who asked no questions regarding what went on in the Organization- you have little ground to stand on if you think you can question my choices when you don't even know what most of them were.

Besides... After a certain point, there wasn't any reason to do anything but go along with his plans. It didn't matter, in the end.

[ Sora shook his head. He couldn't agree with that. Sure there'd been times Sora worried he was doing the right thing, but it always came down to the greater good and that was the truth even now. Maybe...maybe he was a murderer, and the thought made him sick to his stomach, but he'd done it for the greater good and that was more important than anything. ]

I wanted Xemnas dead for my own reasons, and nothing else. I fail to see what's wrong with being selfish. It's human nature, and it's not as if I'm capable of much else.

That's what you were doing! You were stealing peoples hearts so you could get yours back when you should have been going after the guy who did it to you in the first place!

Considering how quickly so many would say that Nobodies are less than other forms of life, I'm not too hurt by that accusation. You also seem to be hard of hearing- none of us had a death wish.

It sounds so very noble to sacrifice yourself for the greater good, but there's sacrifice and then there's throwing your life away for nothing at all. I had no plans to do that, not when I still had something to accomplish.

[ Sora felt ready to tear his hair out. ]

We could have helped you! If you'd been on our side we would have found some way to fix everything!

[ Of course Sora didn't know that. There may have been nothing they could do to help them, but maybe there was. ]

Somehow I find that hard to believe. Besides... By the time you fought against me, there really wasn't any point. My goals were nothing more than impossibilities. Either Xemnas achieved his goal or you killed me.

Either way didn't matter.

[ By then it might have been too late anyway. If Saix was that stubborn, he'd never see it anyway. ]

Just forget it.

[ Sora was scowling. He went to disconnect the connect, sick of this conversation, and sick of tying to convince Saix that he was wrong. ]
