[Saix really doesn't want to admit it, because that would make Axel right, but it's simply fact that he realizes once he's back in his own body instead of stuck in Axel's. It reminded him of what it felt like to be Isa a little bit, and it also reminded him of how it had felt when he had first joined the Organization. How he is now is... different. It's the Darkness. It feels thicker, like a heavy fog. He knows he's done some horrible things in the name of his goal, but never cared because the end justified the means. Still, this almost feels like too much.]

[Saix spends the day trying to convince himself that he's just letting himself fall into the same delusional trap that Axel has, but in the end, he has to know.]

[So you'll be seeing this guy on the SFC today, looking as calm and apathetic as ever.]

I'm curious, but are there any in Vatheon who are knowledgeable in the spiritual heart of a person? Perhaps the better, more general word would be 'soul'.

[A body, a mind, and a 'heart'- that's what makes a person, isn't it? But take away the 'heart', have it be lost to Heartless, and you're left with a body and a mind. A Nobody...]

I can state quite honestly that I don't care.

[With the SFC pointed mostly at his face and upper torso, Saix's hands remain hidden. That suits him just fine; the question has him digging his fingers into his palms for a moment.]

Why wouldn't I be? This is my body.

[He can tell just by looking at his face that the question gets to him anyway, but, again, that's something Axel won't say.]

Even knowing something could be wrong with it?

It might just be your body that's the abnormal one, you know. Perhaps the rest of the Organization was similar.

[Axel glances down at his chest thoughtfully.]

But even I can't remember my Darkness feeling like that when I first became a Nobody.

[So suffocating and rough--]

It might be a progression. The Organization never seemed to do any research on the prolonged effects on the body when it's lacking a heart.

[Pause.]

Perhaps we shouldn't have killed Vexen. I imagine this would be an experiment he could be interested in.

[flared]

Maybe he'll show up here at some point.

[Shrug. Though he kind of hopes that he won't. He never really got along with Vexen.]

[croceamors]

That isn't going to help us now.

[flared]

Ah, he was a pain anyway.

[... And killing him was fun.]

I won't deny that, but he was one of the most academically intelligent members of the Organization. He'd be useful right now.

[flared]

That so-called "intelligence" unfortunately got in the way. What use would we have for something like that?

[Axel, stop, that's creepy.]

As always, you fail to see the point. Back in the Organization, before you deserted, it served no purpose at all. But here... Well, we're both asking questions about hearts, aren't we? As far as I can recall, that was Even's specialty.
