[So, after Trunks' fairly disasterous (for him anyway) first day in Vatheon, he's been laying low and trying to figure out all these confusing ~feelings~ he has. It's not working. So he's decided to ask the network at large. ~~Unfortunately for him, he hasn't experimented enough to figure out filtering yet.~~]

Hello. Pardon the interruption, but I have...well, a question. I don't expect an answer from everyone, so don't worry about it, but...

When I arrived here, I met someone who is very important to me, from my world. I can't exactly say so, though, and even if I did, they'd never believe me. To say we're from different times is...putting it mildly.

And I might have seriously pissed them off. ~~This is all so complicated.~~

Admitting to it would be admitting to the fact that he's different, that he's so strong. He's so used to hiding that it goes against pretty much everything his mind's telling him to do.

This story even sounds a bit familiar; she's reminded of when Minato told her, about the one time Aniki had tried to make him push him into the lake.

In the end, he never did succeed.]

Vatheon isn't exactly the best place for big drawn-out fights. so for what it's worth, it sounds like you made the right decision.

Is he seriously mad? why does he wanna fight you so badly?

[It's the fact that he's from the future as well--he doesn't want anyone to know how strong he is. Not really.]

Yeah, I figured. There's too many people around, for one.

It's a way for him to get stronger, and I understand that. If the situation was right, I'd probably go along with it. Hell, if it was just a spar he wanted, I'd do it.

What happened?

He tried to get me to fight him, and I wouldn't.

I don't exactly know him well enough to say, but he'll probably do something to draw me out before too long, if I don't confront him first. I think.

[Right. Too many people being around was exactly what she was getting at, pretty much. Plus the enclosed space...even on the island, there'd be a lot of damage.]

Seems kind of lame for him to use you just to get stronger. But what does he want from you then, if not just a friendly spar?

Yeah, well, I can't blame him for it.

How did you deal with it?

[For all he acts like a responsible adult, Trunks is 17 and not all that confident in his interpersonal skills. Advice plz, smart-sounding person he's never spoken to before in his life.]

Unfortunately, this is where the situation becomes complicated. If nothing is done then innocent people could be hurt. However, doing something means giving in to what this person wants and lowering yourself in a way.

How dangerous do you feel him to be?

[He doesn't know so it's best to ask.]

I'm stronger physically, but he has more experience and I don't want to...I can't hurt him. And from earlier...he knows he can make me fight him by threatening other people.

[He pauses a moment to think about the situation before writing again. He doesn't have all the details and he won't volunteer them. That's for this person to do on his own.]

It may be best to find some allies for the time being. People who can help you so you are not alone in this. The hardest fight is one that you fight on your own.

[He's used to that, though!]

The more I involve other people, the more they have a chance to get hurt. Fighting on my own isn't anything new.

...maybe I should just tell him.

It seems as if people will be hurt no matter what path you take.

It also seems that he's left only the truth as the only possible way to avoid that.

[This is such a headache. Trunks feels tired.

[Probably should've asked that sooner, Trunks. To be fair, I don't think communication networks are much of a thing he's used to. Not much infrastructure left in his world, after all.]

[Sweet. There's a short delay as Trunks figures out the encryption, then...well, he's trusting you with this, person he's never spoken to before. ~~He's so stupid sometimes.~~]

[There's a pause while Aya rereads that sentence a few times. Yes, that would be difficult, far more so than any other confession.]
