[There's no video this time, but Katsu sounds tired. Maybe that's why he hasn't turned it on?]
Messiah, noun. Etymology - Hebrew and Aramaic.
Definition one a - the expected king and deliverer of the Jews. Definition one b - Jesus.
Definition two - a professed or accepted leader of some hope or cause.
[He pauses, and there's the sound of a book being set down.]
There's a lot of ways you can take this definition, but most people take it to mean someone who will guide people to a better world. Sometimes it involves punishing the wicked, and sometimes it doesn't.
So, Vatheon. What would you expect someone like this to be like? What would you expect them to act like? And what would you expect them to do?
[The SFC remains on for a few moments longer, as if he's going to say something else, but then he shuts it off.]

He or she would have to believe in their cause so much that you can't talk them out of it. Whether you use logic or magic, it won't work.
But believing in it's not enough. That person has to be able to back it up - not just with power, spirit too.
I don't know who Jews or Jesus are, but I think that still answers your question.
[Voice]
... That part's not as important for the questions, I guess.

....super long text ftw uh
i'm getting ahead of myself though aren't i? teehee**
ahh i do that sometimes especially with messiahs
it's a selective word is what i'm getting at here and virtually anyone with an ideal view of a 'perfect world' could totally be announced as a messiah
and since i have gathered, collectively from long-term observations, that the majority, i'd say 90%, of the people collected here in this underwater city are something of importance to their homes from where they were pulled from
it doesn't really seem like anyone who is dragged to vatheon was unimportant useless or powerless. even the people who seem it aren't. there's no one simple here. no one completely harmless either in mental or physical or emotional capabilities
it's actually very interesting and has kept me busy for a long time but i wont get into that either hehehaa cause i'm already probably clusterfucking up your message right now and you might have stopped reading by now but oh well (^_^);
OH where was i?
Yeah. i'd say half of the people in vatheon are messiah figures in some way
it's not that hard to find them
just open your eyes nyaaa~~~~
my name is Izaya by the way which the 'etymology' of that -------> one who looks over the crowd -------> very fitting of myself
which is ironic
because ISIAH
you get it. it's nice to meet you by the way ☆
oh i didn't really answer your question hahaha
he he he
Text | Fff it's fine.
I said a 'better world', not a perfect one.
I'm still reading. And yeah, a lot of people here are important to their world. I thought it was strange too.
My name means 'victory', though. So yeah. I'm Katsu.

A leader looks after their comrades as best they can.
[A pause.]
Are you a leader, back in your world?

... You could say that, yeah.

[It certainly sounds like he’s reading from the dictionary.]
It’s a bit hard to believe, but in a city like Vatheon where we’re all thrown together like this, there are…probably a lot of people who could qualify.
[Especially given the multiple cited definitions.]

Messiah, huh?]
I would expect a messiah to look after people, I suppose. Lead them like promised.

This topic.]
...A messiah is someone that can lead people to a better, more peaceful world.
[Voice]
But that includes the wicked people, too. Why do they have to be punished? Why can't they just be taught the right thing to do? I don't think just labeling between 'good' and 'evil' is so simple.
[It's kind of obvious whom he's thinking of.]

As for what I would expect a Messiah to do....That depends a lot on what the world needs.
voice;
The Messiah in my world isn't Jesus. I've never met him. I didn't even really believe in angels or God until the week leading up to when I came here. I don't think anyone can deny their existence now.
But forgiving people... I'd like to do that. I would. But the angels are pretty insistent on the 'smiting the wicked' part.

To be themselves, and to make the choice that is best for everyone with the help of those around them.
At least, that's what I've seen. [...though for some reason, the last part makes him wonder where he heard those words before- or if he said them, then why?]
voice;
Well. I think you might be a little biased.
