No shit. I told Kanaya straight up when she showed up most recently that this is the best shot most of us have. If we weren't here... You already know.

It's not that easy, Nepeta. In the whole year, two months, and however many days I've been here, I have only ever seen one of the actual scientists. Until that, they in their own words did not interact with us directly at all. They obviously do not want to be found. And if they are around, it's probably not somewhere we can get to easily, considering their ability to set up weird barriers keeping us where they want us. Questioning people has gotten me some information, but never a whole lot all at once. It's slow work, okay? And not for lack of willpower.

Okay, I understand. But if we organize more people into helping us, it has to go at least a little bit faster than if you're doing it on your own, right??

Though it would need to be made clear that the odds are unfortunately against because of the obvious fact that these asspimples can jerk us back and forth between universes on a whim, have yet to be found in the course of over two earth years - about a sweep, for the record - and what I already mentioned about putting barriers up so we can only go so far. Which is not to say we shouldn't look anyway so don't misunderstand me, but understanding of the odds is important too.

No, you're right, I understand! Getting people's hopes up when it'll take a long time or might never work at all wouldn't be good, they'd just give up after a while, so whoever's going to help us needs to know what they're getting into!
