...what seems to be the low-lit interior of something more akin to a cave than a room, littered with messy piles of soft scraps and plushies and yarn and even the occasional teapot.

A monstrous shadow looms on the wall, a fearsome looking four-horned creature.]

You're the best, Gamzee! I'd nefur have been able to reach to use all that extra wall if you weren't here, nope nope nope!

[And with a squawk the chocobo drops the SFC, sending it cartwheeling until it points at the origins of that shadow, a messier-than-usual kitty troll perched on a clown troll's shoulders, various hues of paint staining her hands and clothes and even her cheeks, still dripping a bright red from an outstretched paintbrush that had been adding the finishing touches to a heart high up on:]

Oh, Pounce! Hi Pounce! I'm really glad that Gamzee brought you to visi...POUNCE WHERE DID YOU GET THAT?! OH NOOOOO...

[She attempts to leap at the wall to block it from view; this doesn't go well when instead it just makes both trolls topple over in a tangle of limbs.]

[He looks at the SFC then at Nepeta. He really didn't want to worry her; so long as the GH started the fights, Bugs was literally not going to be harmed.]

Hey. Doll. How 'bout I show dat everytin'll be fine if I meet tall, dark and hairy?

[He looks a little guilty ok. No one ever worries about him. It's new and he finds he doesn't particularly like the guilt feeling.]

Well, if you want to? But I don't know how everything will just be fine if you end up in a situation like that!!

[He starts leaning forward and it looks like he is going to hit the SFC screen. Except...he doesn't.

He actually keeps going until he pops out of Nepeta's screen. It's a tight squeeze.]

Heh, guess I should cut down on da carrots. Hang on, doll.

[With a little grunt he manages to pop out completely. Though he politely faces away from the wall. she didn't seem too happy with that being shown.]

[Nepeta was leaning in close to the screen to listen to what he was going to tell her - or so she thought, before his head was popping right out of her SFC, and she squealed in surprise but managed to hang onto it anyway so that she wouldn't send him crashing to the ground.]

Bugs!! [There was only one thing to do in this instance; tacklegreet him with a hug.] How did you do that?!?!

[Kitty pounces are expected now so he just sort of bounces when they hit the floor.]

Eh, da fourth wall don't really bother me.

[He does offer a grin in apology for the squeal he caused her though.]

Just one a da tings that'll keep Laughin' boy from gettin' an edge over me. So. No worryin'. Don't think you can pull off the cue ball look.

[Sorry, Bugs, that grin is lost on her since she's busy trying to nuzzle on him now.]

So if things get bad you can just escape really really easily?

Yeeeeap.

[Erk. Awkward nuzzles. He wriggles a little to sit up. Open affection is still knew to the bunny. Even if it's just the friendly sort.]

Escape is just an open hole away.

[It's a good round about understanding so. He's going with it.]

It's not just about escaping, though.

[She stops snuggling quite as hard, letting him sit up, but still continues hugging him.]

Do you know what he can do? He's a subjuggulator. That means he can draw all your fears out and use them against you! You could end up frozen on the spot in fear and not be able to escape!

Alright so she ain't buyin' it.

[He listens carefully. Huh...fears. That could be helpful to know. Of course now he's trying to figure out just what those fears would be but he's got time for that.]

Look doll, der's a lot more to it. Even if he is a sub-whateverator.

But Buuugs.

[Look at these sad worried eyes, Bugs. Can you really resist them?]

[Okay closing his eyes doesn't work when she says his name like that. A small grumble before let's out a little puff of breath.]

Alright, alright jus'...don't make dat face kid. I'll be careful.

[She flings her arms around him.]

Thank you, Bugs! I'd be so sad if anything hurt you!

[He sort of holds her shoulders in a half-hug. He's figured it would be best to just get used to the hugs but he's still looking at what he can see of her face.]

Okay. Dat's somethin' I don't want. I'd rather have ya gigglin' den cryin'.

[Small pat to the head. Hey, kitties like that right?]

[Kitties do, and so does Nepeta. She rubs her head against his hand, then reaches out to pet him too. All that soft fluffy fur is just too tempting.]

I like giggling better than crying too fur sure! So you have to stay safe for me, okay?? And for all your other friends!

[His ears flatten out automatically and he glances up. His eyes moving up and down with each pat.

Then he catches what she says and looks back at her.]

Er, all my other friends? Doll...I'll level wit you. Dis whole havin' someone worry over little ol' me isn't really part of my act.

[Bugs. Bugs you are so cute she just wants to keep you forever.]

You don't have any other friends?! That's awful!!! I'll introduce you to all of mine, I will, and then you'll have plenty.

[Bugs is a horrible pet. Really. He hogs the bathroom.]

Well, I got frienemies. Does dat count?

[More friends. He's gotta think this over a little.]

[Nepeta is allergic to baths, giving her an excuse not to have any just makes the arrangement even better. Until her moirail notices and steps in.]

Uhmmm, maybe? Friend means both friend and enemy for trolls anyway, really, but I like the meaning where you play together and look after each other more!

Well dat's pretty convenient.

[Equius is good at bathing kitties.]

Ohhh, okay. I know what you mean now! Equius never lets me play dangerous games anyway, when the others used to FLARP he stopped me from joining them and I was really mad about it but it turned out to be a good thing in the end. Only safe games!
