Let's see... Ta put it inta pieces... There are these creatures called the Heartless. They were out ta steal hearts - and when yer heart is taken, ya become a Heartless yerself. Powerful people were usin' the power of Heartless and darkness ta try and conquer worlds. But me and my friends helped defeat the Heartless, and freed the worlds. Once ya defeat a heartless, the hearts it captured return back ta their owners.

O-Oh, wow ... they remind me a little of Zerom, though, I don't think the aim of the Zerom was to actually take the heart ... only to make it so that the person acted abnormally.
