[One thing about Councillor Gorthan is that he is still very unsure about Vatheon and its people, and in general doesn't like hanging outside very often. Also because he may find himself getting hungry for the residents' emotions, and he is trying to maintain a low profile for the moment.

So here, Vatheon, have a short, simple text.]

Is anybody here able to recommend any good books?

I am particularly interested in poetry, philosophy and epics.

The library has a nice selection of books.

I know that. I have seen it.

However, I have not yet been able to find anything from my native planet there. All other literatures there are completely foreign to me, and I am looking to find works that are at least comparable to my favorite classics from my planet. Provided such things exists.

I think a lot of the literature here is based on this culture rather than anything one might find in their own world.

And by "this culture", you mean...?

For a prison to have a culture of its own... I would be surprised, but upon further thought, it is really nothing new to me.

But, leaving that aside. Do you possess any literary knowledge?

I do. I enjoy reading.

Very well. So it is in your capacity to suggest a few specific titles that you consider worthy of mention, is it not?

Possibly. I'm not exactly aware of what might be here. I've been looking at the science genre.

I see. Science... it was one of my passions in my early life. What branch of it, specifically, are you drawn to?

Typically it would be astronomy.

I see. An interest to be commended... it is good for your mind to be turned to space. The universe is full of incredible variety, and yet held together by the same, unchangeable laws.

I, too, am often fascinated at how much of its infinite mystery still escapes me, even as I try to dominate it.

Indeed. Perhaps I should have introduced myself earlier. I am Councillor Gorthan, supreme leader of the Evronian army.

What does this mean for other worlds in your eyes?

Essentially, that they should prepare to become our colonies. And yet, I no longer have any intentions to have Earth's resources of emotional energy drained by my troops. Earth is too precious a resource to us, and it would be unwise to lose it so quickly.
