[One thing about Councillor Gorthan is that he is still very unsure about Vatheon and its people, and in general doesn't like hanging outside very often. Also because he may find himself getting hungry for the residents' emotions, and he is trying to maintain a low profile for the moment.

So here, Vatheon, have a short, simple text.]

Is anybody here able to recommend any good books?

I am particularly interested in poetry, philosophy and epics.

Look, if you want to be all technical about it, my wife and her family were the monarch. I married her, so I became the monarch. Happy?

That does, indeed, make a lot more sense.

Were you able to locate your spouse, in the end?

Yes! She's safe and sound here with me.

Ah... two lovers, sharing a peaceful life under the same roof... what can compare to that feeling? Such heartwarming fullness...

I wish she was back home, where she belongs, but it's still good to see her again. We've actually been apart for a while, so I guess I have to thank this place for getting us together again sooner.

And *I* have to thank this place for providing succulent options in plentiful amounts, should I choose to feed myself.

The two of you are one of them, obviously.

I think you used a few words wrong there, pal. It almost sounds like you want to eat us!

Perhaps I neglected to mention that we Evronians feed on the energy produced by our victims' emotions and thoughts.

You would not be eaten, but reduced to what we call a CoolFlame.

[He suddenly switches on the video, because he's not afraid of the cartoon bubbles. If anything they're showing off just how pissed he is - dark colors, a shining blade, and defeated monsters at his feet. Even when he speaks, his usual hick dialect is less noticeable. In other words, that is some delicious anger he's got.]

[That's a bit of an irritating smile Gorthan is showing when his own Video feed is switched on. He's conveniently bubble-less, and it's clear that he enjoys seeing people's thoughts on display - maybe a little too much, even, which is why he has determined that it's best not to look at them.]

I would love to see you try. But you're in luck, earthling - I have no such intentions, at least for the moment. Replenishing myself regularly at the coral appears to be sufficient. But I may change my mind.

I believe you could use some perspective, earthling. I have declared no hostile intentions - in fact, I have openly dismissed the notion that I may harbor them. I was merely informing you on how my race normally feeds.

And of course, you seem to believe that declaring yourself my enemy will somehow help keep your spouse and yourself safe. Such flawed logic...

As I said, I harbor no hostility towards you and your beloved. I would advise you against provoking it.
